More difficult than the usual NES game from back then? Like, harder than TMNT?Looks cool. I played the first AVGN game and it was stupidly hard, didn’t beat it but got pretty far in it.

They were tough as nail, I can't recall any kid during my youth who ever finished those. You needed infinite patience..It’s not hard like TMNT or Battletoads.
Thats kinda how i feel about avgn in generalLooks generic and mid.
I'd say it's harder than TMNT. It's full of insta-death blocks and stuff like that. Admittedly, I played it many years ago, so I don't remember the details.More difficult than the usual NES game from back then? Like, harder than TMNT?
You sure about that? I've never played BT personally, but as a kid I beat TMNT more times than I can count. It's really not that hard if you're not trying to speedrun it and you can manage your health. There's nothing in TMNT like those races and those blink-and-you-miss-it sequences in BT.It’s not hard like TMNT or Battletoads.

Again, it's been years since I touched AVGN Game 1, but it was quite frustrating. Going by memory, I'd say it may be harder than TMNT.
AVGN was anything but generic and mid... in 2006-2009. The series has been shit since he made that godawful movie.Thats kinda how i feel about avgn in general
Ugh..... AVGN can't stand his terrible takes.Ugh.... Limited Run Games.....
To be fair, his videos always been fun to watch. In the end he's a regular and legit dude who likes what he does.AVGN was anything but generic and mid... in 2006-2009. The series has been shit since he made that godawful movie.
That jump isn’t pixel-perfect. You just have to use the low jump instead of the high cartwheel jump that the game requires most of the time. The penalty for failing is annoying, but it doesn’t kill you.TMNT has that one pixel perfect jump and that whole underwater section.
And if I'm not mistaken, you can grind for health and heal the whole team after a level? You backtrack to an old level, heal then finish the level quickly? That jump isn’t pixel-perfect. The underwater section is bullshit because of the wonky hitboxes, but as I’ve said, if you can manage your party’s health and have some sense of timing, it’s absolutely doable. The AVGN game had some platforming sections that were way worse than these two sections in TMNT.
This new AVGN NES games doesn’t seem to have sections like those, but the collisions do look a bit suspicious in places, which was one of the greatest challenges in old games. You think you’re gonna hit something or that something’s gonna miss you, but what your eyes see and calculate is denied by weird hitboxes. I’m curious.
What's wrong with limited run games?
Well fuck them thenThey publicly fired an employee for being a Harry Potter fan because a rainbow haired freak cried on Twitter.
This gives me PTSD back to like 3rd grade when my teacher just wouldn't accept that a 3.5" disk was a 'floppy' not a 'hard' disk...
