According to Nintendo Power, the new Animal Crossing DS will hit the US shelves as early as July.

And what about Nintendogs US date? August 22?

Can´t wait!

There is nothing currently on the DS list for July in Japan either, so it's a possibility I guess, but I thought they kept saying "end of the year".

So what were the developed impressions of this game at e3? It sounded like people weren't that excited about how the demo looked.

They´ve been wrong before though :(

And what about the global date for Twilight Princess? November 21? I really hope so.

wasn't that for the online service?

Nintendo WiFi service won't be available until the end of the year.. so it won't make since to release the game before, even if it's ready..

Mario Kart and AC are great launching titles for the service :)

Rockman EXE 5 DS: Twin Leaders is released on July 21!

I think one of the producers on the game mentioned that there won't be any NES games this time around. That instead they'll focus more on the community aspect of the game.

Does the new AC have those delectable NES titles?
In the IGN interview with the producer, apparently not. they want to focus more on the interactivity aspect, and "animal crossing"ness if you will. Although he did say they may have something else take thier place.

Hopefully some Game Boy games! Just imagine...

01 Tetris (1989)
02 Super Mario Land (1989)
03 Alleyway (1989)
04 Baseball (1989)
05 Tennis (1989)
06 Golf (1989)
07 Dr Mario (1990)
08 F-1 Race (1990)
09 Wave Race (1992)
10 The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (1993)
11 Donkey Kong (1994)
12 Mole Mania (1996)

...I might actually have buy this peice of crap then! :)

I got a good 2 hours of playtime with it at E3 --- wireless and WiFi, it ran great, really seems like it's ready for release.

I suppose if it was kept any longer that they could polish up the framerate a bit --- the game itself doesn't really need it.

from my playtime there seems to be some improvements --- the entire game is playable through stylus, and worked very nicely - at first I had a hard time double-tapping for tree shakes and doors, but it works with the old-school controls as well ... but the menue and chats are so nice with the stylus --- the top screen serves great when trying on new outfits.

you can drag items to your character graphic, or to his feed (little green patch) to drop them on the ground ---
Also they seem to be planning stuff for the top screen, presents would float by --- but it really seems like there's *something* you will need to shoot them down.
I hear that at night you can construct the star constalations for your town as well.

-flowers were harder to kill --- they took a beating.
-you can kick in any dirt-hole with your feet while having any item in hand.
-it seems like when you're playing your DS is always set to receive connection in search of any DS passerby
-when someone visits your town, there's a little load/save screen and then it shows a cut-scene of who's visiting.
-going in and out of houses with people is fun, so is competing to catch a fish
-The town horizon being so low and stylized works great when you're looking for people in your town.

I have very little interest in the game right now, but if most or all of those games actually make it into it, I would be all over this day 1.

Nintendo could very easily throw in a Gameboy, NES and an SNES and 5 games or so for each into the game, but then, Nintendo hasn't really had a strong history of going out of their way to be awesome :(

I wouldnt imagine them putting in console games as they are preping for the Rev service which they will probably make more money off of, plus they have the whole classics series to consider.

how do you visit someone elses town? where does it show more towns available? This thing is going to be massive i reckon, you can already tell. People go crazy for this kind of stuff.

I wish I went crazy for this kind of stuff.... oh well I'll just kick ass on Mario Kart instead.
