I guess if no one minds I could just copy+paste the current OP into a new thread. Like BPB said, I highly doubt anybody reads it anyways. The several times new players come into this thread they precisely ask the questions that are answered in the OP
Well seeing as the community is becoming more or less the same old faces and you said you were running out of space for new things maybe we can replace the tricks and FAQ (especially as the FAQ is filled with a lot of obvious things) with things like people's dream codes. In some ways I think it needs to be trimmed and simplified. While a C&P could so for now if you'd like I could work on a simpler OP over the weekend to be edited in.

For starters the release info part can go. And we could check each of the tips and tricks to see which ones we keep and which ones can go. I'd say the obvious stuff like how to catch sharks and tanning etc. can go. But the more extensive guides written by the members like the art trick and alt reset trick should stay.

Edit: oh god damn it. :/ I usually TT a few hours forward each morning so the shops are open, then set it back later. I do that today, boot up the game, and Isabelle tells me it's Halloween. I force close the game, fix the date, but damage done -- the game acts like it's been two days since I played so trees have grown, Emporium opened (should be closed today), etc. Feeling super bummed I may have fucked up my perfect town streak. Plus it sucks having things jacked up like this.
So I guess the only other bad side effects are spoiled turnips? I have none. But I worry I fucked things up.

I believe I have all of the Spooky set except for the Vanity.
When you go to town hall and ask Isabelle does she still say your town is perfect? Because if so you haven't messed up the streak you just basically added two days to it.
The only thing that would eff up a perfect town rating for you is if you left stuff laying on the ground (like furniture, items, fruit, etc). I don't think your town would even generate enough weeds in two days to mess it up.

In terms of the quick help at the start, most of those links are from Thonky, so might as well just link to that once, if at all, just as a general resource. I'd say just links to the Liquefy FAQ, Thonky, AC Wiki, moridb, and the GAF turnip thread would be fine (and anything else general like that). Definitely cut out the general info as well before tips and tricks. Much of the tips and tricks could probably be axed, though I would probably keep the art, swimming, and alt character tricks, if anything. The FAQ section could definitely be trimmed (particularly stuff like "Can I play this game online with friends?"). If the space is needed, I'd say don't be afraid to reserve another post to put stuff like the monthly DLC, and the new and last chance catch pictures for the month, since it'd be easier to link back to, if needed. Just my two cents. I'm obviously willing to discuss further and help in any way that's needed.
