Publisher is going to be Degica? Not surprising it seems Atlus is useless on the PC front.
Need Sega to whip them into gear ont hat front, and it's definitely gotta be with the Japanese side versus the American side given all the games American Atlus published generally included Steam as one of the platforms so they and the developers know what's up.

EDIT: And it's not even like Sega should need to be heavy handed there, just... Yo, look at how our games are doing on PC, why don't you try for this? We'll find you some good porters if need be.

Wow that's surprising considering the developer is shuttered and already liquidated... must be a port house doing this version.

Agatsuma was a publisher, not a developer. The studio that made Code of Princess and Umihara Kawase still exists and is presumably finishing the port for Degica.

What the fuck with Degica, they are like the best company of all time since last year.

for me it isnt "omg they're brilliant" as much as "oh someone finally cracked that there's high demand and money to be made from porting japanese stuff to Steam"

a lot of people tried and 8-4 constantly talk about it, it's finally happening but it sure took a while

I mean they're actually an eCommerce company, not even a focused videogame publisher

And I just bought the 3DS version on eShop this weekend. Performance issues aside, I'm enjoying it - and I have a feeling I'd play this more often on a portable system than on the PC.

But if the price is right, who knows?

That's cool. I didn't pick up the 3DS version because of the technical issues, but on PC I might get it when it's cheap and see if it can provide a bit of co-op fun.

And if it isn't as deep as I'd like at least I know it should be some mindless fun with an entertaining localization and some decent voice acting thanks to Atlus.

I liked the game ... it is a very good guardian heroes like game

I wonder what price it will come to steam ... it is an old game that is ALWAYS on sale on the 3ds eshop

Surprised to see excitement over this game. Isn't it considered a ho-hum hack-and-slash RPG?
It's a 3-plane beatemup like Guardian Heroes. It has a really solid framework, but the persistent character levels can make things really unbalanced. It also had really bad performance, so a PC version would be really neat to see.

I enjoyed this enough despite the small screen and bad performance. Wasnt the Guardian Heroes successor I wanted, but it scratched that beat-em-up itch.

It has more to do with the larger context of Atlus essentially being the last major Japanese publisher to fully commit to Steam.

I mean it's not even a in-house developed Atlus game, they just published the game outside of Japan. We don't know the circumstances that led to this particular game getting a PC port but I bet it due to how the now defunct Agatsuma Entertainment developed the game in the first place.

At this point, it's more of a minor commitment to PC gaming instead of a full one for Atlus.

I'm just telling you, PC gamers get excited about the possibilities.

If I buy this we get Persona 5 at 4K....well that's not accurate, but we can dream damn it.

Guys, I don't think Atlus has any involvement beyond allowing their localization to be republished for this.

The guy who did that tease is from Degica, not Atlus.

That doesn't make any sense. It's nice that we'll be getting a game they localized, but it doesn't mean anything in terms of a commitment unless they're the publisher on PC. The previous PC releases from Atlus USA is more of a commitment than this.

And whether or not they're the publisher, it doesn't change a thing in terms of the development teams in Japan bringing their games to PC. This game is from people who made Guardian Heroes, Studio Saizensen, and Agatsuma Entertainment. The latter two already brought Umihara Kawase to Steam, and there was no involvement from Atlus there.
