I'm seeing a massive year on year increase in sales on jiminy cricket masks here ...
People still out here defending both these girls smh. Get with it
Iggy of says the kind of ignorant shit you shake you head at and wonder if the girl has any sense.
Banks actively spews blatant hate shit on both racial and sexual orientation fronts on the regular to get people riled up and admits to doing it for fun.
Both take a hard as fuck L. Stop defending either of them.
Anonymous gave Iggy a warning, telling her that they have enough material of her to make the Bill Cosby incident look like a joke in comparison.
She did something worse than allegedly raping over 20 different women? Is such a thing even possible?
Iggy is gross, so I'd like to see her go down.
I wouldn't be surprised if the material is just evidence of consensual sex with various male celebrities, though.
Anonymous (hacker) is beefing with Iggy Azalea, apparently because something racist she said to that trash Azaleia Banks.
Iggy saying really fucked up questionable things isn't new. Chick wears her privilege and ignorance on her sleeve.
I summarized the Hot97 interview in GAF-Hop, for reference.
At this point I think Banks' racist behavior exceeds that of and is more explicit than those unearthed from Iggy's Twitter.
They're both hot asshole juice, better off ignoring both of them.
Thanks for the summary. She seems chemically imbalanced.

Banks dropping a tasteless f-bomb and brushing off the Cosby accusations is undeniably lame, but how can anyone equate Iggy and Banks given Iggy's reaction here?
side-note: getting on Banks for her attitude really bothers me.
Yesterday Hot 97 hosts Ebro Darden, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez hosted Banks, who once again slandered Iggy, called T.I. "a shoe-shining coon," and spoke that real about not needing Interscope or Top 40 radio play to make and promote her music.
Are you not entertained by this C-level celebrity drama?

But that really wasn't her message. She talked about macklemore too. Whether or not you think she's jealous doesn't matter. She was talking truth in regards to black appropriation. Iggys response was selfish because it totally misses the point of what banks was saying is an industry phenomena to reward white folks for doing mediocre black music and to shun black folks for doing exceptional black music. It's not a theory. It's not conspiracy. We see it happen too often. Iggy is some naive twenty something white Australian who couldn't possibly see banks' larger point about a system that's designed to put down black exceptionalism. She responds to banks by talking about boot straps which is so incredibly tone deaf.Just read Iggy's response to Banks. She's not wrong. Banks isn't unsuccessful because she's black, she's unsuccessful because she's a terrible person to everyone. Crying about Iggy being white won't make people like her.

She did. Read my edit above.Iggy didn't even address the broader trend, she went straight at Banks. And she's not wrong.
Special msg for banks: There are many black artists succeeding in all genres. The reason you haven't is because of your piss poor attitude

If this helps Spider-Man go back to Marvel...
Isn't she just telling her to own up for her own self-destructive behavior there?
It would be like complaining about Hollywood's habit of white washing films and their habit of only casting blacks if there's a good reason, or even largely ignoring powerful black performances when giving out awards and some actor responds with "there are plenty of successful black actors, you just suck"
Granted the two industries aren't the same but that doesn't matter for my analogy. What matters is there is a problem that banks was pointing to and iggy completely misses it.
I don't disagree. But when you're making black music it's probably not a good idea to dismiss legitimate issues because you hate the obsessed crazy person throwing shade at you everyday. Iggys best course of action would have been to ignore her.Agreed.
Anyone who's been following this "beef" (and I use that term loosely, because if I had a dollar for every time Iggy's actually responded to Azealia's countless attacks I wouldn't even have enough money to pick up a pack of condoms from CVS) knows that this is just another reason for Azealia Banks to express her jealously, bitterness, and hate over fucking Iggy.
She's hated that girl since she made the 2012 freshman list, and she's been going in on her since. It's exhausting, even if she actually has a point when you broaden the scope and remove literally all context surrounding why she's actually attacking Iggy.
She did. Read my edit above.
I had to look up the first three people mentioned.
I feel old.
Secondly, what's wrong with Macklemore? Dude makes pop rap that isn't nearly as culturally offensive as a clown show like Riff Raff, yet riff actually seems to have a fan base on GAF.
Banks isn't equivalent to a beleaguered black actress though. She's had plenty of breaks and lots of contacts in the industry, magazine covers, tour invitations from bigger artists, collaborations with famous DJs, millions thrown at her albums.
She, personally, has made a string of terrible career choices, mostly revolving around her inability to check herself. She's not a victim any more than Amanda Bynes is, though Bynes has the excuse of finally being officially diagnosed as mentally ill.
If she responds with another racist or homophobic rant, what exactly does that prove?

I don't think having breaks or opportunities is relevant. Again this isn't about banks. It's about the message. A black actor shouldn't have to be successful or unsuccessful, likable or unlikable for what they are saying to matter. So what if an unlikable unsuccessful by his own doing black actor gets emotionally upset about discrimination? We should ignore their point because they're an eff up?Banks isn't equivalent to a beleaguered black actress though. Is it really wise to respond to that person by saying there are plenty of successful black people, you're just a toxic human being? No. Because it side steps legitimate societal issues in favor of an accurate but pointless personal jab.
No I don't. I don't think the fight had to be channeled through banks at all. I actually like Iggy more than I do banks. I know banks is a terrible person who says outrageous things. The issue you're dealing with is the same issue Iggy was. You're mixing your perception of banks with what she says. The news here isn't banks said something crazy. She always says something crazy. The news here is banks finally says something intelligent on a specific issue and all Iggy (and you) want to do is talk about how terrible a person she is. We all know. We all get it.You act like this fight has to be channeled through Banks though. You're pulling a "No! it's about ethics in games journalism" thing. Where people are trying to cherry pick the deep issue that they want to talk about, and ignore the other facet.
Banks has to face up to her actions, if she keeps utterly failing to separate her own beef from that other point. Then she shouldn't be the face of that fight. Look to others who actually fight the good fight, and have their shit together.

But people come for Banks and leave Iggy alone as if she was an innocent little girl who doesn't know what she's doing. Also, people defend Iggy for having 3 popular songs.

I'm not trying to cherry pick. What you're doing is trying to bring irrelevant personal attacks to someone commenting on a broader issue. If you watched the interview like I did you see banks own up partially to her own demise. She's not blaming anyone for her failure. You guys think that's what the topic was about. It's not. The topic was about black appropriation. Banks can and should be able to talk about black appropriation without people hand waving her points because she's an unlikable human being.
