Third Complaint: No Gattaca
Fourth Complaint: The Matrix at the top.

fucking Blade Runner is from '82

edit: but it is in that list? color me confused. ??

Yes, Blade Runner too. Hadnt gotten that far down the list before I noticed the first mistake.

1982's duo beats the rest of this list.

IN THE GREAT BATTLE OF POST-BLADE RUNNER AND THE THING SCI-FI MOVIES, THE WINNERS ARE....

BLADE RUNNER AND THE THING!

BSG
Matrix
Wrath of Khan
Firefly / Serenity
ST:TNG (which I guess encompasses the fuck awesome First Contact, but if not it should)

Yeah, checks out. No Revenge of the Sith, though, which makes the list, well, wrong. Also, yeah, Minority Report was good stuff. Not sure ESotSM really counts, either.

Starship Troopers and Heroes definitely don't belong, at all.

Aliens and T2 too low. Matrix a little too high.

While I clearly have my issues with the list especially since I think Babylon 5 is roughly as good as galactica I do have to applaud the omission of ID 4 :D

Primer seems to be missing. Weird since that's one of the very few real sci-fi films on that list. Most of those have sci-fi settings, but are primarily action movies. Also, Contact seems like it should be there, too. And what about Gattaca?

Damn! We continue to agree. B5 is so under appreciated.

And how stupid was the person who made this list. A quick glance by an Sci Fi fan and you know some of those items pre-date 1983.

Heroes has one decent season and one crap season and it makes the list?

Yeah, Babylon 5 is still my favorite series within the standard norm of sci fi shows. I don't always think of stuff like Lost as sci fi even though there certainly is that aspect to the show.
And honestly, I love both Futurama and Galaxy Quest but if we're really going to bring sci fi spoofs into play, where the fuck is Spaceballs?

The most positive thing to look at is actually the omission of comic book movies despite Heroes presence. The last list posted seemed to be more "best comic book movies" as opposed to Sci Fi movies.

Damn that's weird. They must have rehosted the list because it's one of their top stories for some reason.
:lol :lol :lol

My bad

They've had a year to correct it and it's still wrong! EW am fail.

Bullshit.

Babylon 5 is like, the greatest Sci Fi I have ever seen. The sole combination of Babylon Squared of Season one followed by War Without End parts 1 and 2 in season 3 alone, craps all over a good deal of that list. Love me some BSG as well, doesnt seem nearly as well written arc wise as B5 was (christ at the way B5 planted seeds in early seasons and SERIOUSLY went back and explained the stuff, it was amazing) but its a damn fine show too.

List fails for not limiting the mention of Heroes to SEASON ONE ONLY.

Technically it does since season 2 wasn't aired at the original time this list was made. But how do you toss a still airing show up on a top list, especially after only 1 season?

watwatwatwatwat?

Above Brazil? Above Blade Runner? Above the Thing?

Above Terminator/Total recall?? <- This ones are personal opinions, the others are fact.

Lack of Twelve Monkeys on any sci-fi list is disturbing.

This too. I just watch it yesterday. Bruce Willis+Brad Pitt performance = instant win

The Matrix is seriously one of the most overrated films of all time, and I liked it. Terminator 2 needs to be higher. And if they're going to put Blade Runner on there, even though it was 1982, it should be #1.
