Another great Arnold moment in movie history

Around the World in 80 Days

This is a Disney flick, but no other Disney flick has made me say WTF so many times while watching it. It's full of strange cameos, from Kathy Bates as the queen of England to the Owen brothers as the Wright Brothers. There's even a ship captain who had his nipples bit off by a shark. But by far the oddest and greatest moment is the Governator as a womanizing Turkish Prince. I couldn't believe it was actually him till he started talking.

Oh my, that wig. And his intro is just hilarious.

With his history in movies it bothers me that he banned .50 caliber rifles in Cali.... I mean this is the guy who has fired a minigun! Aww well I got mine, I,m not worried about it. Nevada is great like that. :) I got some ammo in the mail today.

I can't believe they just left this on the doorstep!!..

Still no gun yet (takes forever to get one of these) but I bought 160 tracer rounds and 100 explosive rounds (low explosive, otherwise known as incendiary)... the explosive rounds will be here in a month. I'm sure they'll leave those on the doorstep too! :?

Damn things cost so much I lined them up to make sure they were all there.

I would still like to see Arnold and Sly in a movie together. The one liners would be classic.
The long-awaited Contra the movie! =)

Obviously the main characters in the original Contra were based on Sly and Arnie (or more like Rambo and Commando).

If you want to see the best movie with the "Arnold" moments, rent Pumping Iron, the bodybuilding documetary.

Its friggin hillarious. Especailly when he says getting pumped in the gym feels better than cumming.

What are you gonna use the gun for?

There is no use for this gun other than target practice. It's too powerful for any other use. Even the military isn't techincally suppose to use this against "soft" targets. :)

I've been a fan of this gun since it started to show up in movies like Robocop and Predator2..... It's the most powerful gun you're allowed to own without a special license.

You can't hunt with it, you can't defend your home with it, you almost couldn't use it to defend your life, the family of the person shot while threatening you, could sue you for defending yourself with this, even if it was to save your own life....... It's just for blowing stuff up real good.

I had to have it. :)

First of all.. Holy schmitt those are some huge rounds.

Second of all.. Why in Gods name would one need such a weapon? Having lots of mines and stuff you have to clear from your back yard or what?

Edit.. oh.. OK. Good reason :D

that weapon should not be allowed to be in the hands of a private citizen.
and for all the reasons YOU stated above, it serves no purpose. none. its not a home defense weapon.

also, the ACTOR arnold did not fire a minigun. it was a movie. and he wasnt firing live rounds, which you possibly could be doing.

seriously guy. get real.

Guns can be owned for pure recreation...that's a valid reason.

He fired a real minigun, but like you said it had blanks, that is considered live ammo, blanks can kill. When actors are perparing for a role they often fire the gun with standard ammo to undersatnd how the gun would feel in real life. I'm sure Arnold has fired a minigun with standard ammo before. Besides he is mister gun! To quote a terminator2 (while he was holding the minigun) "it's you!". He shouldn't be the one telling people they can't own big guns.

Speaking of miniguns... I own one so to speak....

Yea my lack of gun ownership right now. I use one on the Armored Car but I didn't own a personal weapon until this gun. Ever fired a gun? It's a lot of fun, why do you think so many video games have guns? I don't think Halo would sell so many copies if it wasn't fun... I bet you own a shooter, hypocrite.

Yea well my 100 incendiary rounds burn twice as hot as fire...and mine has an effective range of more than 1000 meters... I think I would win...not that I'd ever use mine against a person. :)

Yeah because you know your ordinary everyday criminal has the cash to buy a $8000 rifle + the $200-300 for a 100 rounds of ammo. :lol :lol

Now why wasn't that in Halo 2...

The faux bulletholes and Punisher-looking logo are a little cheesey, but that's one mean looking ATV. I'd be a little too tempted to go charging into a group of neighborhood kids while firing blanks though. Is that real carbon fibre? Even if not, it looks good.

Honestly, who here doesn't have a handgun in their place of residence for protection in the event of a burglary/robbery while they are at home? Those handguns -- not rifles -- are the leading cause of gun deaths in this country; not rifles. The same goes for violent crime, in which case a concealed and easily disposable handgun is more practical than a giant, bulky rifle.

The primary reason that people collect guns (namely rifles) is their collective value. One of the heirlooms in my family is a 12 Gauge V. Bernardelli Italian shotgun with intricate steel engraving, which belonged to my grandfather. Another is a Perdy that is the crown jewel of my daddy's collection. I only own one gun, (the Colt, which was payment for some estate planning my dad and I worked on) but anyone who knows guns knows the true value of what I'm speaking of; especially in the case of my family's own heirlooms, which are actual works of art.

Anyways, I suppose I’m a lot more conservative about this because of my own experiences. The duplex that I share with my older sister was broken into last year while I was home alone and a burglar held me at gunpoint until he could flee the scene. When you live 20 minutes away from any sign of civilization or law enforcement, you tend to realize how naïve it is to shirk the concept of owning a firearm. I just learned it the hard way. I was lucky that no harm was done to me.

EDIT: BTW that Punisher quad is so awesome/hilarious at the same time. :lol

I don't own a gun. You weren't "lucky". The fact that you didn't own a gun might have saved your life.

Or he could have been shot regardless if he was armed or not. Maybe we prefer to resist rather then to HOPE the guy with the gun doesn't shoot. :p

Yes, having a shootout with someone when youre half awaken, and while this other guy is high on adreanline (and maybe other stuff) and real nervous IS TOTALLY SAFE :lol. Having a gun will also save you when you are outnumbered in a dark alley by a bunch of thugs. None of them will have guns, or any other weapons :lol

Yeah, seriously -- I'd rather not "wait for the next time" without having a gun handy. I was simply naive not to have one originally, considering that we do own a number of horses and many people have been victim to having their animals, livestock and what have you stolen out here recently. A few of my neighbors used to leave their doors unlocked prior to our own home being burgled as well. I guess that living outside of the city doesn't account for much in relation to safety anymore; especially when law enforcement is 20+ minutes away.

Also, it isn't like I sleep with this thing under my pillow at night or whatever. The primary reason that I chose this particular gun for payment was in its value as being legally registered. The value of the gun's registration far outweighs any "practicality" it may have in my eyes.

As oppose to being unarmed against the same guy?

As oppose to being unarmed *and* outnumbered in a dark alley in the same situation?

That's even safer right?

Wearing your seat belt isn't going to save you from a collision against a semi either. It would hamper you from quickly escaping if your car gets submerged so I suppose we shouldn't buckle up either right?
