Question? If no one eats shit how come so many people know it tastes bad?

Wish I didn’t see this thread. How will I manage to sleep tonight knowing IGN assigned the same number to two games?

Why would a game which got a 7/10 review be cancelled/deprecated in barely a month since its release date?

Heck, even Bleeding Edge is still around, and the only game close to Concord’s disaster is Redfall, but correct me if I’m wrong the game can still be played
Concord is being redesigned and will be relaunched.

The unique nature of Concord's path are leading people to think it's far worse than what it was. It certainly failed to capture the interest of people but it's structure was at least arguably worthy of a 7.
Concord is the punchbag of the year, you need to pretend the game is the worst thing ever made in human's history.

IGN gives a game a 7/10-ish most of the time.

Skimming pages worth of games, a Funko game got a 4/10, and everything else was 5/10 or higher. Majority of games get a 6, 7, 8.

We were not worthy of Concord. That masterpiece was taken from us due to our shortcomings as a people. Repent! Evangelize! Recognize the error in our ways.

I had a whole big response typed up, then thought, IGN and concord don’t deserve my incredible responses.

If they relaunch Concord as F2P it'll bomb again.

I forget where I read it (Gaf or YT or some other fourm), but right off the bat without seeing anything, someone mentioned the game name itself was crap because it means nothing. Like we had laughs about it a month or two ago, most people think of Concord as either a grape or the plane.

But in reality, it's the name of the galaxy in the game. Not really memorable. You'd only know that if cared about the lore. Some guy said it's a dumb name because that would be like calling Star Wars when it first came out as something like Naboo. It is not recognizable.

Now someone will say same thing applies to Halo or Quake or Doom. But I think more gamers can put some kind of sci-fi spin to it. Like many people, first thing I thought of hearing the name Concord is the plane too. I didnt know, but for wordsmiths the term also means.... an agreement between two people or groups.

Given the known definitions of Concord, how would anyone know it pertains to a galaxy in a video game?

Been playing. I understand the score. As a DragonBall fan, it's score should be higher.. mid 80's or so.

But the stiffness of cutscenes, the weird jumping over core moments during campaigns only for them to be described with 3 screenshots and text. Being shown the same cutscenes just from a different perspective while playing a different campaign.

The menu hopping and menu obtusiveness is also bad. So I can understand how this got a 7. But I think DragonBall fans will want it and look past the negatives. It's probably one of the better DBZ games in the past decade.
