Any Albertans here use Shaw or Telus?

I'm wondering which one is better. Shaw has this Xtreme-I with 7Mbps down, 50GB transfer (up/down) per month and it's only +$10 on top of your bundle. Right now I'm on Telus and it's fucking slow, like 1.5Mbps. Telus' highest plan only offers 2.5Mbps and it's 10GB transfer (up/down) per month.

Any ideas who might be better? Can't always base it off numbers.

Before I moved I was using shaw in calgary since they first started introducing cable modems, and for that last six months I had the Xtreme-I package. Clearly better as far as I'm concerned, as outage problems were long since dealt with, there is even less of a reason for them to call and bug you about transfer, and speed is smoothed out if not necessarily noticeably faster over their regular package.

I'm on shaw extreme and like it. The speed is still only has fast as the server you are downloading from lets you go though, gamespot I can manage 7-800 kilobytes per second but the average site is still anywhere from 0-200. Regular shaw highspeed would peak around 450-500 with averages of 1-120. So its definetly worth the 10 bucks, especially with the transfer limit being so much better. Shaw high speed has a 5 down 1 up bandwidth limit, however they dont' enforce it until you do like 80-90 gigs of transfer.

The only problem with Shaw is that they are throttling Bit Torrent making it unusable now. Everything else is fast though. (I don't know if that affects Calgary yet)
