Any Black people that can answer this question for me?

All over Twitter I see black guys talking about how they want their GFs to buy them a PS5 when it comes out. Also see black chicks talking about how their BFs better step it up of they want them to buy a PS5 for them.

Is this the black equiviant of a white dude asking his missus to make him a sandwich?
It seems to be a meme, but is there any truth to it lol?

Note, this is coming from someone who doesn't live in the US and is dumb to black culture.

This is the worst shitposting thread I've seen since Elektro's.

I'm not black but it probably has something to do with the massive stimulus checks that black single mothers will get due to all their kids. The "BFs" want a piece of that action.

It was actually a legit question.
I see it all the time, and was wondering what it's about.

I was wanting to know what it's about, like is it a meme or something?

Race bait is such a simple cop out to what the OP is pointing out. I think there's something there that's actually worthy of analysis.

moooooooods

leave it open

let him squirm
No squirming. Just realizing how screwed up the US is over race. If a black dude in the US saw a heap of Aussie white dude's tweeting about their GFs buying them a PS5 and they asked white dude's what it was about, we would just answer and say "oh its a line in a song that everyone now runs with" or "it was a line in a comedy show", where ever it came from.
Its that old KFC tv ad from Australia all over again.
