I work at a trophy shop, and we get a lot of things sent to us in EPS format to send out to other companies for engraving and whatnot.

Opening the files at home is a breeze with Photoshop, but we don't have anything like that here at work.

Are there any free programs that will let us open the EPS files to make sure their quality isn't bonked?

Irfanview comes to mind, but i'm sure there's tons of others that'll open EPS files.

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to work. I'm gonig to try this GhostView program that it suggested.

some companies are really annoying

me: "Give us your logo and we'll engrave it on the plaque!"

them: *hands over 100x100 pixel image in some unknown format with very bad distortion*

That's pretty much what we're dealing with. WHat kind of place do you work at?

well i don't work at a trophy store, but my dad owns one

so he has to come to me to get to use photoshop to clean stuff, convert files and what not and make it a clean copy :s and it happens almost every time someone wants a logo on their plaque.

You need a plug in for irfanview to get it to show eps, it'll show .ai/.psd and a bunch of other ones too.

edit: It's just to view them, not open them...so uh...I'll be quiet now.

What do you need to do to the files? Open and export again?
