Any Hammock fans here on GAF?

Just want to say that I love Hammock's music and listen to it a lot while at work. Nice background music for getting stuff done.

I would mention my favorite album, but I own all of them and find it hard to choose.

I thought this was going to be about the Hammcock.

Yes, I'm a huge fan of Hammock.

It's my #3 top artist according to Spotify's "your year of music 2014".

I love post-rock, it's my favourite genre with MONO (A Japanese post-rock band) being my favourite band in the genre which is a race against God Is An Astronaut in that place too.

Just started getting into them this year. I can't really say I have a favorite album yet, since I haven't listened to their entire discography yet, but it's all really good so far. I listen to them when I'm writing my case notes. I'd recommend all spotify users who are into hammock to check out spotify's "focus" playlist, it has tons of fantastic, similar music.

I came here for talk of relaxing in the shade of a tree.

Instead I got some band I've never heard of.

Is this like a sub-genre of Blue grass? I imagine a person lazing about suspended between the shade of two trees on a warm summer afternoon while playing a ukulele.

"That’d be cool if Spider-Man shot hammocks instead of webs, y'know?. 'You’re not a criminal, but you do need to relax. Fwsht! Now go find two trees that are close together.'"

Yeah! Been a fan since Kenotic, and got really involved in their sound when Raising Your Voice came out. Not really listened to them for a while, but Asleep in the Downlights was good. Honestly, I bought Departure Songs on CD, but never listened to it all the way through :(

If you're interested, I'd recommend Eluvium as a similar artist. Bit more drone, though.

Oh, and my favourite Hammock track I reckon... the one that sticks with me anyway.

I am, really big fan of them. Listen to some Caspian and Explosions In the Sky if you haven't OP.
