Any one else here REALLY annoyed by Andre 3000?

Lord knows I am... I have just really grown a distaste for him after "The Love Below" hit big. I mean, I already didn't like his freaknasty/pseudomasochist behavior/dress but it wasn't that big of an issue because I wasn't innondated with news about him:

Andre Benjamin chats it up with the Kerry Sisters!
Andre 3000, REPUBLICAN!?
Andre 3000 to star as old legendary rockstar!
Andre 3000 opens up eclectic clothing line!
Andre 3000 takes a shit!

All this while Big Boi gets ignored. Fuck that shit. Then again, I don't like to hear about OutKast in general. Their overexposure in the media is nothing but POO POO POOOO!

Outkast's first couple of CD's are ridiculous how good they are. I don't care for them as much now I used to.

Andre's a weirdo though.

Andre weirded out circa ATLiens and he's acting the same way now as he did then, but you're hating on him now that Outkast's finally emerged from elitist obscurity? What a load of crap..

I like him. I really enjoyed the performance he did at VMAs with "Prototype"
Not sure why, I just love the guitar in that.

Yeah, Dre is top five MC and his last album had 2 raps on it. 50 Cent can die...for trying to unleash this virus onto man:

And Big Boi gets ignored cuz, even though he's good, he has not the most original cats.

No. In fact Andre is a breath of fresh air in a genre full of thugs like 50 cent, DMX, etc.

and along with Boi is why I like OUtkast, they are not the street thug wannabes that are rubbishing up rap.

The thing about Andre I don't like is when reading interviews with him, he makes it seem like Outkast doesn't matter to him one bit. He acts like a big drama queen who even said that he didn't care to make another CD with Big Boi or even if they remain friends. That is fucked up if you ask me. Actually the story behing the Love Below kind of shows his selfishness. Love Below was a CD Andre did on his own, without telling Big Boi and their record label. Andre was shopping the CD to other labels and Arista caught wind of it and told him they were due another Outkast CD, so Big Boi had to rush and put his CD together to make a 2-CD set.

I am happy for Outkast, I have loved them since "Player's Ball". Glad they totally blew up and have the mainstream listening to them. They deserve that success. Interesting to see if there will be another Outkast CD or will Big Boi have to go out on his own. Andre refused to go on tour because he didn't want to do any of the old songs. Atleast I will always have this pic from a party earlier this year:

Yeah, I don't get the 'feud' that's going on. How they haven't been giving group interviews. They are one of my favorite groups and I hope they keep putting albums out.

From the Blender interview, it seemed like Big Boi thinks that Andre is his best friend in the world and wants to keep making music with him. Andre seems so aloof and wants to do other shit and not care about doing anything with Big Boi. Andre wants to go in another direction and leave his past completely behind. I guess that is his choice, but the way he is going about it seems really cold and odd. At the endof the interview, Andre's mom is like begging Big Boi not to let Andre break up the group.

I think that is what annoys me most, you said it perfectly. I hate how he cast Big Boi aside, despite Big Boi's attempt at preserving the identity of OutKast. In the media's eyes OutKast is "Hey Ya" and "Roses" that really ticks me off. 3000 thinks he's the shit, and he is a total dumbass as well. I remember reading an interview with him in Honey Magazine (it was my mom's/sister's). and he made some really stupid comments about strippers and "traditional African dance" or something. He says pretty stupid shit all the time.
