yet we are pretty much at the point where every X360 game is shit/inferior/1.5 without most of you fucking toss pot wanker cocks playing ANY of the games (with the exception of possibly PGR3). Meanwhile, MGS4 is the best game based on a trailer that pretty much showed no game play. Fucking GREAT!

I'll tell you my preferences. For consoles, I am an Xbot all the way. I'm getting the 360 on launch day, and spending way too much money on games and accessories. However, when it comes to games like first-person shooters, I am completely biased towards the PC. Battlefield 2 would seriously have to be crippled to experience it on a console. The graphics are not even close, and the gameplay would have to be totally redone. And trying to play FPS with a controller is pure crap, especially with all the precision shooting you're required to do in BF2.
For the record, I think the MGS4 trailer was a joke. Graphics that were fairly comparable to 360 launch games, and not one second of actual gameplay footage shown.

that's one thing that pissed me off about vietnam and bf2. you'd think you found the perfect spot to prone behind tall grass and pluck away at your enemies but when an enemy is 50 feet away, all he see's is you proning on a hill with just some low res ground texture.

I think the guys in this thread that are bashing the 360 version of BF2 (including me), are doing it because they've experienced the sheer greatness of the PC game. In all honesty, the console version may be a fine game for what it is, but it can't really be the same game. I recommend you playing the PC version, if you haven't already.
Generally speaking though, I understand that graphics have nothing to do with gameplay. I still play old PC and console games all the time, because I value the gameplay (and sometimes the nostalgia, heh) over graphics.
But again, the Sony stuff is getting out of hand.

So whats wrong with BF2: Modern Combat ...just watched some vids on IGN, looks a lot like BF2, gameplay wise i mean, looks like ass on the xbox ..well decent for an xbox game i guess 
, seems to have pretty much the same vehicals and kits, dunno if the levels are the same, but they look to be the same style.
If this 360 version has graphics like this, Live support, and plays nearly the same as the PC version, then the only big downside would be lack of Keyboard and Mouse ?
I love keyboard and mouse for FPS just like any other FPS player ...but i can kick some ass with a controller

Artillery has been in all the BF games I believe. It's only now just limited to the commander in BF2 PC.

I own the Xbox demo of this game and I simply fell in love with it. I simply enjoyed the team work and the controls were spot on. Mind you Im not a PC gamer.
Well, I lucked into a free pc that is more than able to ran BF2. I purchased the game thinking it was in the same vein as the xbox version. I was right and wrong. The PC version is the xbox version to the extreme. The xbox version is definately a little more acardey and it depends on your taste.
I found that having a headset definately improves the feel of the game for me. Thats on aspect I loved on the box. I know the PC supports it and Im still feeling my away around the game.
Overall I'd probally prefer the PC version. It has a steep learning curve but I think once you get over the hump you'll appreciate the complicated nature.
THE BEST THING IS THAT IM NOT BEING CALLED A NIGGER WHORE EVERY 5 SECONDS. That = more pc gaming for me.

We're just close to an Xbox 360 launch, and not close to a PS3 launch. So PS3 gets more benefit of the doubt. Right now there are *lots* of concerned gamers on here worried about just what games (if any) they'll be able to play with their shiny new 360.
Don't worry, the same will happen when we're 6 weeks off the PS3 launch.
