I'm curious if anyone has been taking full advantage of Blockbuster's "no late fees." I finally bit and rented Gran Turismo 4 today, because I wouldn't mind giving it a whirl and messing around with the photo mode, but it's not a game I care to buy.
I think it's the perfect solution for that sort of game, although I do wonder if they're going to crack down on people who push it to their limit. As I see it, I can buy GT4 for $60CDN ...or I can rent it from Blockbuster for $7 (WTF, by the way... I can't believe they're serious ... of course it removes any guilt from my end...) I can keep it for 40 days and pay $1.75 "restocking" when I'm done.
So $8.75 for a rental that lasts longer than most games' lifespans should. I think $7 is a pure ripoff for a rental fee, but $9 for a really good long time with a game, not so much.
Of course, just to piss me off, neither my USB card reader or digital camera are recognized by GT4 as storage devices. Still have an MP3 player and another digicam to check... but what a letdown.
