I just watched the miniseries. I wasn't expecting much but man, I was impressed. The series starts the 14 and now I can't wait for it. The Cylon redesign is sweet too. The new "human" Cylon thing is a tad weak but it kinda helps the story out a little. The space battles are boss though. Anyone else waiting for this series? I haven't watched a scifi series since ST: Next Gen.

I am. I never liked the original, probably because I was too young when it first came out but this looks like its heading down the right path. Does anyone know if it is a full 22 episode season or a hbo like 12-14?

I liked it so much I got right on newsgroups and found the already aired episodes on the bbc - even got the dvd quality. Plus i have the mini-series dvd coming

funny, for some reason i had battestar galactica and battlefield earth mixed up in my head. Till i figured it out i was very confused watching the mini-series the other night.
