Granted, not a whole lot went on during the first season, but I think we could be in for a treat as Ben and Justin seem to be on a crash course towards each other. Hopefully, the first season was just the "feeler", so you could get used to the characters / world, and the next four seasons will kick the plot into a higher gear.

I dunno... I like the show, but the fact that the entire first season story arc led nowhere kinda makes me shakey for the next one.

We're currently getting this here in Aus. Nice show! well produced, interesting and not at all cliched or cheesy.

Yep. I don't know why people say it didn't lead anywhere. It was a setup for the rest. No show is good in the first season. Lost has the people moving to caves in its first twelve episodes.

The last episode had more happen in the final 10 minutes than the majority of the first season. Which isn't a bad thing as apparently, the new episode picks up not even a minute after season 1 wrapped.

I read an interview with one of the lead writers where they had planned the first season out differently -- where Justin started out as "evil" and was on his way to battle with Ben, but they decided to take the first season easy. Show how Justin became evil and Ben's new life in the Carnivale -- as well as establishing the other characters.

Hell, yes, Carnivale is the best thing on TV since 24. I'm really looking forward to the new season of that as well. The final season of The Sopranos is coming up too, right?

Funny thing, it's like the TV season starts really late this time. How odd.

I missed it since I had a late flight back to school, but I did finish watching the first season over my break. I'm not really seeing the complaint about rather little going on in the first season. I think quite a lot happened, especially given that we also had to learn about the characters and the world. Shit, I thought the last four or five episodes just flew by.

Anywho, unfortunately I have to wait until Tuesday night to watch Episode 13, or maybe I'll find it online. Either way, I'm pumped for these new episodes.
