There's challenging games and then there's games that just exist to make you mad. Only up seems like it falls into the second category.

Something like this is great if you're a streamer or you're watching and want to be entertained by watching people fail.

It's interesting definitely but not something I'd want to play on my free time.

Pretty much. Still, it's been fun watching streamers rage and fail.

I will say there's a specific section in which if you fall, you fall all the way down to the beginning. I've watched a couple of streamers refer to it as a scripted fall. In pretty much all other sections of the game you can recover by landing safely or grabbing onto something. But, in that scripted fall 98% of the time your character will get pushed and not be allowed to grab onto anything. I've seen people lose 7-12 hours of progress. I know his previous game Getting Over It had a similar mechanic but at least that felt random and not scripted. It's shitty in my opinion.

I still think the game looks fun and if it was on PS5 i'd probably get it. Shame about the stolen assets, though.
