Anyone else spending Thanksgiving alone?

I'm going to be all alone on Thanksgiving. *sniff*

Mother has to work on that day so I won't be at her place. My dad will be in Oklahoma so no Thanksgiving with him (which is ok because his cooking stinks). Don't know what my sister is doing although I suspect she'll spend it with her boyfriend.

Thanksgiving seems like a big deal being a family affair but ever since I graduated HS, it seems like the value of the holiday went into the shitter for me. :(

Wednesday night I'm having a Thanskgiving-Eve dinner here at my place with all the friends, then Thursday morning I'm working a charity event with my father for the homeless before I finally eat some turkey and watch some football at my grandparents with about 15 of my closest relatives. Should be fun as always. :D

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
That sucks, but feel bad for your mom...she has to work...ughh :(

Also feel bad for Raoul Duke.

I would but she doesn't seem too upset about it. Last time I talked to her, she was pretty upbeat because she managed to get a week off for Christmas and New Years.

Don't feel too bad. I'll be getting paid well, and I'll pretty much just be standing around watching movies.

Mandatory time and a half?

I'll be dining with my grandmother who has Alzheimer's. It sorta makes me wish I were dining alone.

My penis is still intact.
No (though I don't celebrate Thanksgiving), but I'll be alone for Christmas! Boy this is going to be the best year ever! *pulls cracker with self. cries*

I will spend Christmas, Thanksgiving, the date of my brother's death, the date of my father's death, my birthday, and the anniversary of the day I became the King of the Black Hearted alone.

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
Believe me, sometimes spending the holidays alone is a better alternative to spending it with family...

My wife Christy and I will be here in Japan. One of our friends was going to throw a pot luck dinner, but she got sick and had to cancel, so now we're without plans. Sadly, there's nowhere in Japan (aside from the big import store in Chiba) to get turkey.
:(

I "called in sick" for Thanksgiving with the family a few years ago and had the best day I'd had in years doing absolutely nothing but goofing around in an empty Boston. Enjoy the peace and quiet!

It will be my first day off in a long time so I'm saying fuck it to driving 2 hours one way to eat with my family. I'm just going to sit back and relax.

Holidays ... the reason why families get together so they can remind themselves why they don't get together more often.

I was going to spend Thanksgiving (Canadian one) alone, because I had 3 mid terms, an assignment and a lab due in the 4 day span following the holiday. Also because I'm basically 2000 km from my actual family. Oddly enough, I ended up eating two Thanksgiving meals. Friends of mine put together a big thing for all our university buddies who had nowhere to go and then my roommate decided that she was fed up with studying and would cook us a dinner.

So basically, I got 2 great meals, time with friends and still plenty of time to study ... then bombed two of those midterms. Moral of the story? Thanksgiving is out to get me.
