Anyone Ever Have and SELL A Time-Share?

The wife and I bought a Time-Share in Aruba on our honeymoon. We have used it twice for a trip to Vegas and another to Sint Marteen or Saint Martin.

For the Vegas trip we had enough RCI points (the timeshare is base on points) for the hotel and air... so the trip was no additional money.

We have Week 28 and can basically trade the trip in for any other location within the point limit. Since Aruba is 80 degrees all year long it is the top point level.

We want to sell this thing because we have baby #1 at 17 months old and baby #2 on the way and cannot use it for a few years.

Has anyone ever had and sold a timeshare? Who did you use to sell it?

It was one of our worst mistakes... just because it is a bitch to sell.

It is nice to have someplace to go every year, but if you cannot use it!!!

Anyways, it was about $9000 and we want to sell it for $7000...

The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
We have a Timeshare in VA Beach that we're going down to spend an extended weekend in this coming weekend... have you ever though of just renting/selling your alloted time to someone else each year?

BTW have you checked ebay? They actually have a section for selling timeshares... just search on timeshare and take a look at the category that comes up and take a look at some of the listings.

Will do, I was going to rent it to a buddy this year... or we might take both sets of parents since we have a two room unit with 3 beds...

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
I remember being suckered (well, me and my GF at the time) down in Miami, for a free breakfast and tour.

The Cuban chick tried her best to sell us on this (she could barely speak english, but damn she was hot... Even my GF thought so...). So after a long, uneventful bus trip the next morning, we finally got to our destination... Another hotel. Joy!

All I could think about was eating some breakfast. So once the powdered eggs, stale bread and orange drink was served, I knew I was in for a rough time.

Salesmen came out of the woodwork, trying their best to get Chris and I to sign up for a time share. I'm not easily persuaded. But this guy was good and clearly missed his calling. He should've been in pharmaceutical sales or something.

Anyway, we ended up just running away (literally) from the whole thing.
