It means
it will look properly on both TVs and PC monitors
Interesting. I'm guessing by your jubilation that the Wii U didn't have this? I played my Wii U on my iMac for it's entire lifespan and I didn't notice any issues. Hmm.

Dark theme looks like the way to go.Just like on GAF.
That's because he didn't connect it to a TV.
The Wii U didn't, either your iMac supports limited RGB input or you didn't notice the colours being washed outInteresting. I'm guessing by your jubilation that the Wii U didn't have this? I played my Wii U on my iMac for it's entire lifespan and I didn't notice any issues. Hmm.
If he net connects it that thing is gonna get black listed. Also the e shop is probably not even up.
720pThe handheld screen runs at 480p then? I'm not fully up to date with Switch news tbh.

eShop requires a system update, so he can't even enter even if he wanted to.

this is just asking for trouble
What are you both talking about? The 480p option means the switch CAN output to 480p, just like the Wii U could. That doesn't affect the 720p or 1080p options. Bruh. The handheld screen runs at 480p then? I'm not fully up to date with Switch news tbh.
Enjoy!

What games do you expect will even be able to play 4 sets of Joycons? Do any announced games support that so far? At most so far you're looking at Mario Kart, which would be 3 sets + Pro.
Well in theory he could net connect it and download the update, but that would be a very bad idea IMO.

Doubtful the update is even available yet (probably day-one), but yes, if the update WAS available, it would be a bad idea anyway.
Ummmmmmm.....OK?
He should go to a wifi hotspot and connect to the eshop! Or any place he wouldn't seemingly be tracked, if that's the main concern. Could Nintendo identify the unit and trace it back to the retailer who leaked it though? That'd be the main worry I'd think.
Why? It's not like Nintendo is gonna brick the thing.
Disassemble it and take pics of the internal components! Please! Let's see the battery, etc. And especially if you can get to the board to see what the chip layout is.
I AM NOT A MONSTER!!!!
They could ban his console, but it looks like the press are getting units today so he might slip through. Also, why so much concern for the retailer?
