I got it.. I only played it for about 20 minutes and i have to go to work.
The Demo ran extremly well on my system at 1286X1024 but the actual game Runs very crappy @ 800X600, maybe it's the bigger maps i'm having trouble with. I will have to upgrade my Gfx Card.

I'm in Montreal, Quebec, the game is rumored to be here tomorrow too, but that's bullshit as usual; maybe it'll be there on thursday, friday is a holliday so I guess that it will probably be here in Montreal this Saturday

That's interesting...did you play the demo map? Or was it different maps?

i'm getting 30fps now.. i think it might have been the audio settings i had it on software.. i put it on hardware and it seems to be running better at a higher resolution (1280X986) with 2X AA.
I might turn off the AA though, until i upgrade my vga card.

I'm also having trouble with the retail version. The demo ran great. My problem is that there will be this 2-3 second "hiccups" in the game, where the sound gets choppy and the game all but locks up. Kinda like the early Half-Life 2 problems.

I'm sitting here 5-10 mins later and it's still at 62%.

Initial loading takes quite some time. The game in general loads slow, but once you find the right settings for your system, don't change them.

none of my local stores had it today by like 5pm (specialty, and big chains). if i had to guess, id say some of them got it out on the shelves before closing.

fucking Best Buy said they had it back, but hadnt put it out yet... i called an hour later and the same prick said that he was wrong and that the shipment hadnt arrived yet. cockmaster.
