Anyone get the Shadow of Rom demo yet?

I got it last Wednesday from EB Canada. Unfortunately, I also got Zelda:MC and RE4, so I haven't had a chace to try it yet.

Ok so it (thankfully) isn't a timed demo but a few of the action sequences using the agrippa (sp?) melee character...

There are 3 levels in the demo...in all the levels you are fighting in front of a roman crowd who will throw out weapons, food and even roses from time to time...

First level consist of 3 large outside "rooms" and a boss fight at the end...first room has about 4 or 5 other opponents who fight against you as well as against each other...moves are basic but very cool...square is a weak/fast attack and X is your main strong/slow attack....hold down X to power up your attack and you can hit people when they are down...if you get hit you can spit in their face to stop them from attacking you and the reverse is also true....they can spit in your face...

2nd room has apponents who beg for mercy and dont attack at all....tons of blood and flying bodyparts in this game (though you can tone down the blood in the options screen) and the more the gore, the more the crowd will cheer....the more you please the crowd the more/better stuff/weapons they will throw down to you

3rd room has 8-10 enemies all going at it....kill them all and you will get to the boss....big, but slow and easy..

2nd level is just like the 3rd room but with no boss...you need to get a high enough score to move on to the last level...

Last level is one U shaped room where everyone is out for you....has 2 waves of enemys....first wave consist of 2 medium sized guys, one big guy and 2 female archers who shoot down from high above...you have to take out the first medium sized guy while the first archer is shooting arrows at you...kill him first and then you can climb up and kill the first girl archer....from there you go to the other side of the U and kill the last three enemies...once they die you get a large two handed melee weapon which makes it quick and easy to kill the 2nd wave of enemys which number around 6 or 7....this level is the only one with any serious level of challange...

Really fun demo of a game I hope won't be ruined by the stealth levels...graphics are great and don't really have that japanese look that would lead you to believe this was a game made by Capcom.....compared to games like Onimusha, DMC or Biohazard, this could be a game that was made by Ubisoft and is very western in look and general feel but is extremely playable and easy to pick up in a way that the Japanese have down pat...

I was really looking forward to this game anyway, but this demo sealed it...

Anyone else like it??

Thanks for the impressions, game sounds really awesome. Definitely checking it out.

If DMC3 and Shadow of Rome delivers, looks like Capcom is back on track.

I got one of the demo discs, and tried it briefly. I've enjoyed what I've played of it so far. I bit the dust on the second level. It seems like there are a lot of fighting moves and combos you can do, where things like character positioning can really change things up, so I'm going to experiment with the system a little more the next time I play.

Yeah, it really doesn't seem too much like what you might expect from a Japanese game. The only tip-off here is the voice acting and the opening narration, which are passable, but could be better.
