For those wondering wtf EDC is, we have wiki!
Wiki said:
Electric Daisy Carnival is an annual electronic dance festival held on the last weekend of June in Southern California, but has also been held in Puerto Rico and Colorado. In 2009, the festival was expanded to a two day event, which brought in over 140,000 attendees[1], making it the biggest electronic dance festival outside Europe.

Had some friends go to the one here (Dallas). I will be attending next year. Although the lineup wasn't as impressive as the LA one :)

Was on the to do list but I never found a job and plus I have nobody to go with. Armin + Above & Beyond + Bt would have made it one amazing experience for me.

Sounds like an awesome time... go and have fun! Who in particular are you gonna see? I'd recommend Sasha of course :P

To be honest I'm pretty new when it comes to all these artists. The only ones I know by name are Kaskade, Armin (fuuuuuuuuu I'd give anything to see In & Out of Love live), Deadmau5, Above & Beyond, and Benny Benassi. My friends are all hardcore trance/house/etc lovers though so I'll just follow them and hope they lead me well :lol

And Feep, here's a thread from 2008. Tickets are about $75 for one day or ~$140ish for both days. VIP seating and all that bs is a lot more of course

price of drugs > price of tickets ....or maybe that's about even with EDC :D

I haven't seen a good DnB party in years. Enjoy it if you get the chance! I'd want to be totally lucid and sober so I'd remember LTJ Bukem, BT, Armin van Buuren, Roger Sanchez, Sasha, Sean Tyas and Basement Jaxx.

I'll eventually have to schedule dev conferences around the weekend of good parties.

Now we've all got kids and stuff.

Like I said definitely go see Sasha. Guy is a legend, real talk.

I was there on Friday!

I went to Monster massive last year, and EDC definitely shits all over MM IMO. They just had the planning down pat, no ridiculous wait times to get in, crowd was well controlled and the girls were hot and down to party. Not a fan of the music, but my friends were and their enthusiasm was infectious and i was soon jumping around with them. Got several light shows from some cool people and it was just an amazing experience.

After MM, i was very resistant to going to EDC, but my friends won't have to do any convincing to get me to go to Hard Halloween/Monster Massive and TAO. I have some pics i could post if people are interested.

Only damper was that my friend's car window got smashed in, and they took his Ipod, sunglasses and stereo. Also took my unopened soda. I heard quite a few people that parked in the streets far away like we did had this happen to them too.
