Anyone here Ukrainian or know about Ukrainian food?

My family is Ukrainian and this time of year brings out all the incredibly fatty but impossible to resist Ukrainian food. Most Ukrainian families from where I'm from always have this dish that we just call cheese buns. It's literally these small buns (not much bigger than your thumb) doused in a delicious dill cream sauce. No one seems to know the Ukrainian name though. Someone told me "pedyshka", which I am just spelling phonetically. Anyone have any idea?

First Google link says UKRAINIAN FILLED YEAST PYRIZHKY (STUFFED BUNS WITH VARIATIONS)

Here's another link to a different recipe.

I just found it. It's called Perishke.

It's the small buns on the left covered in cream. Yum. Now that I found a recipe, I can make my own. Thanks for your help though!

I had Ukrainian food for Christmas for the first time this year, at my wife's family's place. I kept wolfing it down, but they were convinced I hated it for some reason.

I guess they expected me to not like it so much, that their preconceptions could not be overcome. I was, sincerely, all like "This is delicious!" and taking multiple, large servings of stuff, and they were like "I'm sorry it's not turkey!" and "Oh, you don't have to eat more!"

I was like "Do you guys secretly hate this stuff or what? Really, what is the problem?"
