By good I mean cheap. The cheaper the better so long as I can be reasonably assured they will get me to my destination. I've already tried Travelocity and they had some good deals, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has any better sites that might save me a few more bucks. Thanks for the help.

Stay far, far away from hotwire - they're the absolute worst. Their prices are no better than anything you'll find on the airline websites, and their customer service is absolute shit. Be forewarned.

Even if I'm just looking for a one way ticket? Also can you buy a one way ticket and a return ticket that doesn't have a specific return day. Say I want to leave tommorow but don't know when I will be returning. I haven't seen on any of the sites I've looked at a place where you can do that.

if you are travelling , just get a ticket + return but schedule the return for way off in the future and make sure you can turn it in early if you want. The airplane ticket I last used was supposed to be for return on the 28th but I coudl have left a week earlier if I wanted to.

check for discount airlines that fly near you. www.flyi.com, jetblue, and a few others are good. They normally fly out of off-hub airports however, so it can be difficult to find flights exactly where you want to go.
