does anyone here like MadTV? I think they've got some insanely talented people, who I'm surprised Lorne Michaels hasn't tried to buy up yet. I think Will Sasso and Frank Caliendo are both pretty damn funny, and they've got some others who can bring out TEH HILARITY when it's needed, too. That little asian dude who always plays into every stereotype... pretty funny. Just saw some sketch where he's an Average Asian, everyone accuses him of knowing all these like Chinese stereotypes, then he gets up and destroys everyone at ping pong. Pretty funny.

I dunno... I think it's kinda sad that I'm laughing more at reruns of MadTV than I do at any 3 SNL episodes of the past year.

I liked it alright. It's been awhile. My favorites were Will Sasso (his Steven Seagal skits are brilliant), Phil Lamar (does one hell of a Micheal Jackson), and now Aries Spears (different things, not really one that stands out above the rest, just well done).

hahaha, sasso's kenny rogers is awesome. He's doing a reality show, and impersonating Kenny rogers being an angry black woman. :lol

They have some decent ideas every now and then, but IMO they really bog themselves down with those awful repetitive character sketches that weren't even funny to begin with. How many times can people really want to see Ms. Swan?

Yeah dude, I was just watching it today. I saw the Bush and Kerry debate. The guy that did Bush sounds JUST LIKE HIM! It's unbelievable! He also has the same type of look on his face. The guy is a genius. I was laughing so hard. :lol

And then there was the episode where they ripped on the Ashlee Simpson show... I was in tears :lol

Yeah all of his impressions are GREAT. He also does madden, norm macdonald and some other people.

The skit where he was doing a john madden popcorn popper infomercial was awesome

Yeah, too bad the mom (and most of the rest of the good people) left. Michael mcdonald is the only smart one.

GOOD CAREER MOVE, GUYS. Leave a primetimeish tv show so you can do soda commercials.

Oh yeah, I forget his name, but he's does aweseom impressiosns. The John Madden ones are hilarious.

Same as another poster mentioned.

Liked their original ideas, but hated most of their recurring characters. Not liking Ms. Swan and Stewart kinda makes 30% of each episode unwatchable. Java man was inoffensive and UPS guy was the only one I liked.

Will Sasso was one of the many reasons I even watched MadTV.

Will Sasso is the MAN.

Best skit was the one where he imitates Arnold and has clones of himself. :lol

Forgot about Aries spears, another reason to watch.

Oh, yeah, what was it again? "Stolen Idenity 3?"

They skipped 1 and 2 because people loved sequels and I just loved it how 'Arnold's' talking would just breakdown into incoherant words.

I've missed the last 3-4 seasons unfortunatly, I just can't stand the cast now. Will Sasso was awsome, Phil Lamar was hilarious as the overactive UPS delivery man and MJ, Artie Lange was always good even loved his alcoholism skits.

But since my favorite cast members are now gone I've moved onto SNL... and even that doesn't do it for me since Will Ferrell left :(

Mad TV has never been funny. Comedy Central knows this and enjoys punishing the public by playing it 12 hours a day on their channel.

Bobby Lee, his stand up is pretty funny.

2 seasons ago, MadTV started going downhill but the last season was AWESOME. They have a lot of fresh blood and a lot of wicked talent now.

Every week of the last and current season has a skit that's an instant classic. Awesome stuff.

The first 3 or 4 sesons rocked. Good cast and good writers. It surprisingly had a very high budget too. It was all downhill after that though.

MADTV has always rocked to, I love the new characters that are out new too. That bald guy is probably the funniest player to come along in years, the gym teacher sketches are hilarious.

I really, really like Stephnie Weir. She does a great Anna Nicole - the fat one anyway, and her Dot skits were classic. I don't know if they even do the Dot skits anymore, since I haven't watched in forever. She's still on the show though, but has only been a regular for a few seasons, I think she was one of those "featured players" for a few years before that, not sure though.

Yeah, the gym teacher skits are golden.

The same actor does the one with the guy in the shower cap who does the movie reviews. :lol

Hey MadTV is gonna be on tonight...

Episode #1023.
Comic Nicole Sullivan and actress Amber Tamblyn participate in the sketches.

Cast: Frank Caliendo, Bobby Lee, Michael McDonald, Aries Spears, Stephanie Weir, Ike Barinholtz, Ron Pederson , Paul Vogt , Daniele Gaither, Nicole Parker, Jordan Peele, Keegan Michael Key, Nicole Sullivan, Amber Rose Tamblyn.
Producer(s): David Salzman, Quincy Jones, Dick Blasucci.

Wha? Quincy Jones is a producer for the show?

Heh, I wonder if that inspired the little Arrested Development joke about the secretary (who was on MadTV, did Steward's mom) hired by G.O.B. being enamoured with Quincy.

Yeah I saw that too. Couldn't beleive how much he sounded like him. By far the best impersonation, voice wise, I'd ever heard of him.
