Got this book a couple of days back and just finished it last night. Overall, the book felt rushed and overly-"compacted". It feels as if Salvatore was working under a very tight word/page limit. Either that or he was rushing the book for a deadline. On the whole, it was kind of a disappointment.....

I haven't read it yet, but I actually hated the first two books. I just don't feel the connection anymore to the characters. Some of the action just seems tacked on and the main plot way too slow in developing.

I definitely prefer the War of the Spider Queen series to Salvatore's newer Drizzt adventures.
