Anyone sick of politicians touting this election as "GOOD vs EVIL"?

I kind of chuckled when I heard my county executive give a speech at an inaugral event and said that he was disgusted by this Presidential election because it was less about two candidates offering different views of the world, and more about each other claiming it was, "... good versus evil."

I was like, "That's bit overboard, Douglas M. Duncan! [shakes fists!]"

Then I was watching Meet the Press the other morning and the GOP made some kind of comment about a senate race (Oklahoma?) that said, basically, that the race was a battle of "... good versus evil."

What the hell.

I know we have our share of left wing nuts (a lot, actually!) like MIMIC and a handful of uber conservatives (like that dude with the Leo DiCaprio avatar), but do any of you seriously believe this?

I'm a registered Republican and I dislike our current President, but I'm not going to claim he's "evil". Do any of you know George W. Bush? I mean, personally? Some soundbytes and foriegn policies you might find distasteful do not make someone evil.

And on the flip side, some gossip from a bunch of guys on water skiis in Vietnam some thirty years later shouldn't make Kerry a servant of evil either. I don't think we award Purple Hearts to Satan.

In closing, I ask all voters to join me in writing in FOGHAT on your ballot.

Thank you.

Which god? Some have better benefits than others. I wanna get this right.

Bush would easily be The Monkey God.

Pros: Funny, good with children and perfect for parties

Cons: Throws feces, smells and might carry Ebola

I don't really believe anything is cut-and-dry/good-and-evil in the world of politics...

except for Karl Rove.

That man is pure evil.

As said before, Bush represents the christian coalition canidate, and voting against him is voting against the will of God.
