To instantly jump far in any direction. Extremely useful.
Use it to cross rivers, get on top of buildings, to get your team out of a situation quickly etc.

The cool down is so short that you can just use it whenever you want. It's not like other legend's ultimates that you need to hold on for the perfect time, just try shit with it.
I had a couple of team kills by flanking. Jumped over a whole squad and shot them all in the back while they focused on my team mates.
Another time I managed to bounce behind some banners with champion/kill leader display and shot an unaware team through the cracks. They had no clue where I was.
His speed is so amazing too. I'm a little too liberal with it, but it lets you play really aggressively because you can easily escape.

Jump pad + stim when you’re in a fight that you can’t win. Use it also to get to the supply shop before it fully lands. If there’s someone taking a high ground and got the advantage over you, use the jump pad to get to him and SURPRISE THE MOTHAFUCKA. Last night my squad got the attention of another squad so they were concentrating on us. I flanked and used the jump pad to get behind and guess what happened? Oh yes those poor fellas got WIPED baby

Urgh, on a serious losing streak. Like 15 games in a row. Why is it that the other teams are full of fucking level 90 players, and I always get level 10 mouth breathers who stand around looting boxes while in the middle of a fire-fight.
Or players who refuse to push and like to have long, drawn out engagements which just draw in teams from all directions.

I feel you! Been getting the same low level randoms but been carrying them enough. I am very aggressive in this game so it pisses me off when I push just to find out I’m alone and the other two are fucking camping in the house behind me!!

The biggest problem with APEX is the long TTK makes it externally difficult to go up against a squad yourself. To the point of impossible even for decent players.

Early game it's easily possible. I consistently get team kills in the first few minutes of a match when people are with white/no shield.
The thing is, even if you do manage it, another team will be sniffing around and finish you off.

Its true, but it has made for an experience unlike other current BR's. Combat must be fast or you need to disengage and reposition. A lot more risk/reward involved in overly aggressive play

Definitely. No matter how I die or when, I still jump back in for another game! Died early or late I still jump back in immediately. Never liked a BR game but this game is something special

yesterday I had a guy just straight up drop with me, 10 houses around us to loot yet heruns into my building and loots everything I am wanting to pick up.
Left right away, go fuck yourself you greedy noobs.
Or i kill some dudes, I'm healing and you loot all the player boxes before I can even pick up a shield battery. I am talking saying yo I need a shield battery but these idiots are in party chat so nobody can hear me.

Another new Legend is coming in Apex Legends Season 1
The confirmation of the second Legend coming to Apex Legends in Season 1 popped up on the official Sony PlayStation website’s page for the game (thanks, Apex Legends Insider). Scroll down a bit to the picture of Octane and the details about Season 1: Wild Frontier, and it specifically describes “two new characters” – so there’s still one more Legend to drop somewhere between now and the end of the season, which will be around June time.
It also says that there’ll be a new weapon coming to the game before the season’s up too. New firearms were also mentioned in the game’s Roadmap, but that didn’t really go into any detail. Sony also notes that “each new Legend and weapon will launch with a full set of cosmetics to unlock”, probably as part of the slightly-disappointing Battle Pass.

Two randoms that ping well and use their characters well (a Lifeline with 10 times as many kills as revives is typically a bad sign) can be pretty awesome. If they aim for the supply ship right away then I just start planning out how I'm going to play it solo lol.

I must have played 500 games and I have yet to unlock the legendary helmet and chest combo trophy. I probably got one of either 50 times, and play as Lifeline, but never get that 2nd piece.

I just saw a television commercial for Apex Legends tonight when I was watching Bob's Burgers. It mentioned having 50 million players so far, but it was a bit different than the trailers. They also showed lots of gameplay, which I liked. It wasn't some garbage "cinematic" ad that looks nothing like the game.
Apex Legends did reach 1/4 the player count of Fornite in just a month, so it looks like EA is happy to expand their marketing.

Fortnite was a 30fps, stiff alpha title when launched. Apex day one was a AAA title that is the same today barring small tweaks. Uptake speed comparisons are difficult to make.

I think you missed what I'm saying. Fortnite has 200 million players NOW. Well, as of last Nov or Dec, or whenever the numbers were last released. Apex did 1/4th those numbers in only a month. That's a massive success. And it doesn't matter how Fortnite launched, because I'm comparing the game as it is now.
Has an English channel name, and English in the video title, but no English in the video, and no subtitle option. That's a shame, (for me) because it looks like she has a cool channel. Why was it banned, and what did she say about it?

That sucks about the xp boost only applying if you're in a squad. What is the reason solo players wouldn't get that?

I just had some horrible Titanfall 2 flashbacks right now, if it ever gets in the game I hope it´ll be a super hard to get character ult that only lasts a few seconds.Sooner or later, the smartgun will make a come back, and people will be furious.
I won´t lie, it was fun running around the map with stim and killing people instantly with melee to get the Smart gun and melt people at medium range.

Yeah but you can still play as a team with randoms, and the game is actually well designed for that with the ping system.
I hoped to be more welcome in other teams with my small XP boost contribution, but alas it will be lost most of the time, since I rarely play in a squad.
I suppose the dev hope it will help create a tighter community with people urging their friends to come and play, but maybe making the game favorable to lonely newcomers wouldn't be a bad idea either. There's already a boost for playing with friends after all.

It makes no sense though, you have to play as a squad, there is no solo mode. Why give a bonus to people that have friends over those who don't? What is the negative side to rewarding someone playing solo? Are they worried that solo players will sit in cover somewhere racking up points that they wouldn't do otherwise? Or there is some benefit to the game as a whole by encouraging friend making? The results of the matches themselves should force squad play, like if you run solo you're not going to have good odds to win vs people that play with their squadmates, friends or not.

I believe it's to encourage people to play with friends since the game is more fun that way. Solo can be frustrating sometimes. So you are encouraged to play the game in the most fun way possible which looks good for the game's reputation.
