also, gotta mention the perfect ice breaker on the mic tonight. It was silent in voice (I didn’t even know you had your mic in) and then that rando started screaming ‘I’m down I’m down!’ In a brilliant accent and we both pissed ourselves laughing. Great moment.

Free is free bro. As long as you get a couple hundred points a day to save yourself the frustration you should easily get them. I'm at 2,600 rn.

Playing with randoms is always frustrating. It is why I want solos permenatly. Ever since they took solos away my playtime has plummeted.

I wouldn't play solo too much myself but I absolutely think they should add it. I reckon it would cut down on the number of rando-rambos in squad games.

People say that, but what exactly do you lose? Just the ping system really. All the legends work on their own, only Lifeline becomes weaker. Plus, I am pretty much playing solo all the time anyway...Only difference being I am constantly out numbered cause teammates are dead cause they left once downed, or halfway across the map doing their own thing.

I had similar last night. We were in the second to last ring with about half a minute till it moved in. We could hear the last two fighting it out in the distance - all we had to do was wait for their desperate sprint to out position and we could have mopped them up. Nope. My team mates felt we had to push and ended up between both squads. We died.

That is a very common thing. It is impossible to quantify how many times randos have given up position to 3rd party, only to get wrecked,, or win, but get wrecked by the team who took our best position spot.
Positioning is a major thing, imo the most important thing in a BR.

To be fair, locating the last two opposing team fighting each other can also be an opportunity to get closer and finish the winner while he's still licking his wounds, rather than wait for him to replenish his stuff from the juicy loot (or even revive teammates).

It can be.But most of the time it isn't, imo. If you have great position it is just as effective as 3rd partying.Granted not everybody notices good positioning, but if you have high ground you have the advantage, it is crazy how many randos drop down to start the fight. Or if you have zone and the enemy has to come through a chokepoint, it is crazy how many randos ignore the chokepoint.
Everything is situational ofcourse, but my rule is, if you can't see both teams fighting then keep position.

I do agree that good positioning is important, especially considering the ring position and the time left. I did win a game recently by taking a few pot shots at some opponent and then flee to the higher ground to regroup, and the ring dealt the finishing blow.
It can also depend on your team's abilities, a Crypto can give you an idea of the enemy's position and state, and a Caustic can slow down their flight to safety.

I really need to get out of playing with randoms. I'm not good by any means, but we had three games back to back yesterday where we had to instruct people on how to play with their own characters... including a Lifeline who kept going "I need health!" throughout the match lol. Feels real good doing a push with that kind of back-up.

I used to love the thrill of a chance with winning with randoms, but eventually it destroys you when you play for 6 hours and don't get one W cuz you're the only one with a brain. Find people to play with, I play with people who don't even use a mic and average 2-3 wins per session.

Well, I'm part of the problem myself since I can't help myself from trying to keep these players alive. I revived that poor Lifeline three times before I gave up completely.
