So the new iPad Pro's can transfer data at USB 3.0 speeds from Computer to iPad Pro over lightening to USB cable...
... but do I need to use the USB to lightening cable that came with my new iPad Pro to get these speeds. I have lots and lots of USB to lightening cables and I have no idea which is which...
...if necessary is there any way to look at a lightening cable and determine whether it is capable of USB3 speeds with iPad Pro?
All lightning cables with USB-A are 2.0, you'll need USB-C
Oh so if I sync to my 2015 5K iMac then I am stuck at USB2.0 speeds since it doesn't have USBC ports?
That is horrible to know...
Probably due to bezel being smaller.
This is the exact thing happening to mine. Just pressing the screen with any pressure does this, and tapping the home button normally does it too. I set up a Genius Bar appointment for tonight to go get it looked at / swapped out.
My coworker got one as well and isn't anywhere near as obvious on his.
I'm sure there is a 3.0 C to A adapter.Oh so if I sync to my 2015 5K iMac then I am stuck at USB2.0 speeds since it doesn't have USBC ports?

I tried setting up my iPad Pro but I keep getting verification failed.
What do I do?
It keeps failing. How do I set it up, this is annoying. I can't use my new iPad.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Got it to finally work after just resetting the iPad through iTunes.
What's a good ad blocker to use on iPad (preferably free) and that I can whitelist certain sites?
Bellroy do a leather tablet sleeve.Thinking of picking up something like this for my 10.5 (once it gets here). Just something that will protect the iPad (with attached Smart Cover) if I want to take it somewhere or slip it into my messenger bag.
Anyone have anything similar that they could recommend?
EDIT: I can vouch for Purify too, at least on iPhone (my current iPad is a third gen, so no support for it currently).
This looks nice, but I'm not sure I want to pay that much for something that will mostly be inside another bag.
I want one, but my mind can't justify the price when I add in all the extra bullshit.
Like if I want 128 gigs of storage + the keyboard cover I'm at like almost $1000 especially if I also get a pencil.
Guess I'll wait it out since iOS11 isn't even out yet and try and see if I can get a deal at some point later this year.
So from all the reviews I've been looking at says that the Logitech Slim Combo is crap. Turns the iPad into the size of a MBP, feels cheap, and the smart connector is flimsy.

Well if you are willing to wait a while, there will be some great sales down the road and the price will drop. I'm not in a rush to drop that kind of dough, but I know there's always Swappa. I'm thinking I'll get the 256 GB at $600
I went for a 10.5 with a Smart Keyboard case. Ive just been using it for a while, and while I'm very impressed with the keyboard, I cant seem to type apostrophes. The speech marks (shift+the same key) work just fine, so I'm assuming its a software bug.
Has anyone else encountered this?
(I should add that I'm still on 10.whatever - I haven't upgraded to the Dec preview of 11)
EDIT: Having fiddled a bit more, it seems that this only happens when I have the GBoard keyboard activated, the apostrophe works as normal with the stock apple software keyboard. Bugger.
I'm not familiar with the Smart connector technology. Why that over Bluetooth?
I mean, I like it. But maybe Im easy to please
Edit: well okay like it is possibly a stretch. Im tolerating it. Still might return it if I can find a better case
Link to review?
So you're saying that the Apple keyboardis really the best option? Lame.
I think I just want the option of a slim/adjustable stand that I can sit on the lap. Don't even care anymore if I use a wireless keyboard with it.
Depends on the use case.
The pic is slightly misleading, but it is bulkier than the Apple keyboard.
If you want the iPad to be used more as an iPad and less as a laptop you'd ideally want a slim case to not add bulk/weight.
This guy seems to like it.

The thing I liked about the Logitech is that you can remove the keyboard and keep the case connected. I also liked the variable angle kick stand.
