HBO. AMC

Sopranos, The Wire, Better Call Saul, True Detective (se01) & Succession are a few that come to mind that are leagues above anything Apple have put out.

I agree with your list but those shows came out before the HBO branding was killed off in favor of Max. I have my concerns about HBO in the future.

I agree with this. Keep in mind those shows are some of the greatest show’s of all time. While Apple searches for that, it needs something big. I would suggest a mainstream hit. Look for a modern Big Bang Theory, or Friends, or NCIS. Something that has mainstream appeal that is not out to win awards, but win audiences.

Had some amazing shows but I don’t know a single person that’s subscribed to it ever.
I subscribe every now and again when I get a full season to watch but not year round.

I do think the name of it along with the lower quantity of shows doesn’t make it popular.

I'm not sure there'll ever be a show like that again tbh. Those shows all come from a less fractured media market where people gathered to watch at a set time.

I googled to see what the biggest shows of last year were:

Bluey
Grey's Anatomy
Bridgerton
Love is Blind
Fallout

I remember when Friends was being broadcast on TV and you could safely assume most people knew what it was and had seen it.

I don't think you could assume that about those shows. Personally speaking, I've seen one episode of Fallout and none of the others. I couldn't tell you who's in any of those shoes except for Fallout.

TV shows shows just don't hit in the same way anymore.

That’s pocket change for Tim Apple. You know what’s priceless? An Oscar. Or having an excellent sports production that is clearly superior to ESPN’s. Or having a show everyone is talking about.

Platform accessibility is an issue. It's not on android and you cannot cast to chromecast
Yt, Prime,Netflix,Disney don't have these restrictions.

I mainly watch apple+ on ps4 and get it foc through my bank. It has exclusive content I want to watch

The Foundation and Silo both started out great and then fumbled the ball. Ted Lasso is meh.

I did enjoy Bad Sisters and Slow Horses. Everything else is 🤷🏻‍♂️

I enjoyed Shrinking and Ted Lasso. I watched the first seasons of Severance and Slow Horses because of their popularity and thought both were good but overall I think the service is lacking. Apple TV+ is something I'll maybe sub to for a month out of the year.

Silo and Severance are great, Ted Lasso is fun, and super excited to see Neuromancer, I’d cancel Netflix or Disney way before I cancel my Apple TV sub.

Honestly Apple One is really solid value, especially if you read magazines and listen to music.

I only started watching because we got the family bundle thing that has Apple Music, Arcade, TV, cloud storage, etc all bundled together. Amazing value for only like $25 a month.

Anyway, most of their shows are so much better than the slop on Netflix and the constant misses on Disney. I recommend it to everyone I know.

Don’t know why they are so greedy about the “3 months free with purchase of Apple device” thing. You’ve bought there hardware, more than once, but they want to nickel and dime on the promotion if you’ve used it before?

There is not enough content to justify a sub. One new show every other month doesn't cut it.

Netflix is 99% shit but at least me and the mrs can argue if its cake or not.
