What saddens me a bit, is that some of these jokes would actually result in more exciting and fresh products than most of the real products being made by the same people are.

Instead of having to resort to fake stuff such as Blizzard fighting games, Pokemon google map apps, etc. it would be great if the industry / publishers would actually allow the developers to create such things for real instead.

(But no, they don't bring in the big bucks, assumedly, so why bother eh? Let's just spend our time joking about them...)
