April Wrasslin |OT| D.Brine collects his P45

Complaining about the best match of the night is petty nitpicking at it's worst. Any involvement she could have had would have made things worse, but if they intend to keep her in the storyline (or give her a spin-off storyline) then she needs to be kept somewhat relevant.

Pre-emptive bitching is the worst kind of bitching.

I'm not complaining about the match. I really enjoyed it. But wrestling is about the matches themselves and the storylines and it seemed like a random moment they didn't do anything with. I wasn't even complaining that AJ was there but that nothing came of it. WWE has this big hard-on for wanting to swerve everybody and it's silly. As Khrno said though, this is a Bryan/AJ storyline with Sheamus as the 3rd wheel, so I am a little wrong in my assessment of the situation. Though, obviously, I'm not the only one confused about her appearance.

Like I've mentioned multiple times already, I really enjoyed the show as a whole.

3 things are certain in life. 1. Death 2. Taxes. and 3. WWE will fuck up any great angle that falls in their lap.

History has shown this time after time after time after time after time after time after time after time repeat ad nauseum.
Dude... don't rip off quotables from Brian Alvarez's paid podcasts and make them Bobo Originals. ;)

You seem to misunderstand something, it was never a Bryan/Sheamus feud with AJ, it was (and still is) a Bryan/AJ storyline with Sheamus included. Bryan will move on to Orton or some other face, and the focus of the story will still be Bryan and AJ, and I hope the conclusion will be to set them up as a heel couple by making AJ a 100% heel.
This is the best case scenario.
I want an Orton vs. D.Brine feud. I also want AJ to fully turn heel and rejoing D.Brine's side. This will make all of the crap on the rest of the show tolerable.

The fire still burns in our hearts illuminating the dark days of modern WWE
Like big red machines we keep on going regardless of terrible storylines and shoddy booking
Even if Wrasslegaf itself stands in our way and calls us crazy
Fighting against the fate of the continuous Kane Cycle
With almost supernatural levels of dedication
The Kane Kliq is a fire that cannot be extinguished!

Until he retires, gets injured, takes time off or we get bored with the product and bail out.
I tell you, you're one of the best writers and come up with some of the best ideas on this board.

Lol, I love how we plan on bailing eventually.

I think we should all talk about the best moment of the night, D-Bry orchestrating the crowd inbetween the 2nd-3rd fall. That was absolutely amazing and my favorite moment of the night.

That was a fun talk.

I'm trying to find a youtube video of it, but all I keep seeing are people being weird or videos of the match sped up to metal music

I'll complain about the 5MOD (literally uninterrupted) comeback that ended that match and you'll like it!

I can't hate that part if only for the Bryan's corkscrew selling of the Bro kick

Agreed. And this is why I feel Bryan won't fall down into midcard purgatory as everyone is predicting.

does he have any kids that could come through? Kane Jr or Kanette?

These are his daughters. They're both nurses (the one with the jacket briefly dated Matt Striker, funny enough). The other one is holding his grandchild.

You've got to have a bit of fun to get through this nowadays.

I don't think I could bail out just yet for there is one man left, even after Kane.
Wade Barrett, he is successor to the throne of my favourite wrestler provided WWE don't completely screw it up.....why do I torture myself like this?

Sadly, no. The gimmick will go down with him. :(

I think Cody Rhodes, but I have such little faith in them to do any of these guys justice.

I HAVE TILL FIVE!!!!!!!!!

Really hope this wasn't a one-time deal, as it was pretty much my biggest mark out moment of the PPV - although if the fans start getting into it like the ROH crowds used to, I guess there's a chance that he gets told to stop doing it.

Is there really no top WWE angle that HHH won't insert himself into?

Probably not.

God, remember how the old-school fans used to complain about Vince inserting himself and his family into a ton Attitude Era angles? It's going to be a million times worse once HHH is fully in charge.

You know what is fucked up? It's less than two weeks before Ring of Honor's next iPPV and they haven't announced where they are carrying it. Who does this? They even have two more iPPVs announced down the road already with no system to carry them.

That was a fun show today. Him yelling at Meltzer trying to get him to tell him a way to justify the ending was hilarious.
I renewed my Observer sub today only to hear Bryan's rant about last night.

There are 4 main reasons I sporadically watch wrestling right now:
1) Daniel Bryan (& AJ shenanigans)
2) WrassleGAF
3) Bryan Alvarez ranting
4) Occasionally amazing matches like Davey Richards vs. Michael Elgin

Unfortunately, my Bruins got eliminated in the first round and there's no football until the fall so I've got no good reason not to watch RAW tonight. I suppose I could watch the Rangers / Jays game but even Brinbe won't be watching that and he's got a Jays-themed avatar.

At least Diablo 3 is out soon.

ROH is a joke of a promotion when it comes to the most basic of things.

The reaction coming from backstage in WWE was very positive regarding how Extreme Rules came off, according to F4Wonline.com.

John Cena vs Brock Lesnar and CM Punk vs Chris Jericho were getting a lot of high praise from everyone, but while many backstage felt that the Cena vs Lesnar match was entertaining and high quality, there is a lot of disagreement with the ending. Many feel that having Lesnar lose so soon was a mistake. Many feel that it's a rare chance to take a guy coming straight from UFC, and by having him lose to Cena this early makes him just another superstar.

So much for "Lesnar had to lose cause it would be unfair to the boys in the back!" reason

I'm guessing the iPPV delivery is going to be entirely in-house, purchased and viewed through ROH's website - if that's the case, it could either benefit the quality of the show, or be extremely detrimental.

It just kills me that it's 2012 and ROH's production quality hasn't significantly improved in about 5 years. Their 'HD' cameras are noticeably lower quality than whatever DGUSA, EVOLVE, CHIKARA & PWG use, their graphics, on-screen and on DVDs, posters, the website, etc, are miles behind pretty much everyone else out there, and their DVD production turn-around is now almost the slowest there is. All this shit was supposed to improve under Sinclair.

I still can't believe there are people trying to say Lesnar losing wasn't one of the dumbest decisions ever. At least now I have a good understanding which Wrestlegaffers don't understand basic fucking booking.

Are we really going to have a thread title that doesn't somehow incorporate the WWE decision makers being complete idiots and tossing away millions of dollars?

There's absolutely no way anyone can justify that Cena win in any way unless you have no grasp of how wrestling works. 100% it was pure Vince McMahon ego massaging to make the wrestler beat the mma fighter. They'll probably realize they fucked up later on and try to retcon it, but the damage is already done. When is another guy like Lesnar going to come along? No time soon that's for sure and they threw it away.

You honestly can't see any way this could lead to something interesting? I mean, I can understand expecting the worst because they're fucking useless, but it really isn't the "dumbest decision ever". Not yet, anyway.

If their iPPV production still sucks they will have no one to blame but themselves. I'm worried though that they haven't launched the system yet, kinda sets a bad tone for how it will operate.

It's sad that Bork doesn't care about legacy and what not to get some degree of creative control in his contract. If I was him, no way I would agree to that finish. As it is, he doesn't give a shit about anything but money, so as long as he got his $5m, he's content.

hey, i don't think many people are saying Lesnar losing was the right idea, i just think some of us don't think it hurts Brock much at all, but we'll see. as i said before, having Cena win adds a tricky and unnescessary step tonight for them to restablish Brock, but it shouldn't be too hard given how they built up to the match, why Brock claims he was brought in, and what happened in the match up until the pin fall sequence.

Cena's the underdog. He's supposed to win at the end of the story, not the beginning.

So what are you trying to say exactly.

Each WrassleGAF member may only post once during RAW.

It's the only way.

I see. I'll have to wait until Triple H comes out then.

Odd that there's a guy named "Heel" on here but never posts in the wrestling threads. Is there a story behind this?

The story is a lot of MMA fans are old wrasslin' fans who have since moved on, myself included. MMA is Sports Entertainment, complete with story lines, heels, faces, jobbers and more.

just some guy lookin for attention

You know, I think I said this was the problem with TNA not too long ago. When you have someone making a ton of money that doesn't care about the business in any company, it's not a good thing.

We hate Cena. We want to see him get destroyed at the end of the story. Or, preferably, in the middle leading up to the end of Brock's story, which should be losing to Taker at Wrestlemania 29.

Except that there aren't people saying it was a good booking decision. There is however still an Debbie Downer circle jerk going on 16 hours now at the expense of actual discussion. But that isn't all too surprising.

The problem is, I'm not sure why I would want to see Brock vs Cena again. We already know Cena can win. It's not like the WWE Universe (tm) wants to see Brock go over. They should have made this a long fued with people doubting whether Cena could beat Brock. Instead, a fued that should have lasted, at a minimum, 3 months is effectively over after 3 weeks.

Sure I can, but it can only be a small fraction of what could have been. At this point, it's just a rehash of the HHH/Undertaker III storyline.
