So I've watched the presentation. Not really any new footage, except some vague stuff in the background of slides. Which is a bummer.
But, everything the dude said about the game really hits home with me. What makes 'extraction shooters' like this cool to me is that the PvE enemies are vastly different from the players. (Unlike CoD DMZ, Tarkov, Delta Force, Arena Breakout, etc).
The ARC Drones are driven by AI learning as well, which should make for some interesting stuff. From leaked footage out of the Alpha test I saw a clip that a player was encountering a spider robot and he fled into a building that was kind of a dome. First the robot was trying to get line of sight of the player by peaking inside, but when the player was too well hidden it started to climb the building and remove the panels from the roof. That kind of stuff makes me excited for this.
I still have very high hopes for this. We probably know more next month when the playtest will commence. Of course there's a chance this sucks to play and my hype comes crashing down, but so far so good.
