ARC Raiders - What's the market potential for this game?

Where will ARC Raiders settle on Steam once the honeymoon period is over?

Now that we've all seen/played a bunch of gameplay and heard mostly glowing impressions of ARC Raiders, where do you think it settles in terms of average CCU four months after launch? While it's coming to console as well, let's stick to Steamcharts predictions only here.

ARC Raiders was announced at $39.99

For some context: (Steam only numbers)

The Finals (F2P) has averaged around 13k CCU over the last year.

Sea of Thieves ($39.99) has averaged around 8k CCU over the last year.

Hunt Showdown ($29.99) has averaged around 14k CCU over the last year.

Helldivers 2 ($39.99) has averaged around 40k CCU over the last year.

Rust ($39.99) has averaged around 100k CCU over the last year.

Mark my words, the Internet will make this get huge BECAUSE of Marathon.

When there is a competition between two games both become more popular and the Internet has already decided they need to humiliate Marathon and this has been chosen as the tool to do so. Regardless of this game's excellent quality, it will be a huge hit and far surpass the highest option in this poll. > 40k ccu is virtually guaranteed and it will be much higher imho.

Edit: Oh shit, 4 months after launch....still > 40k, so no change in my vote. Less certain though. Could settle in around the finals.

I think it'll end up similar to The Finals, or slightly above. 15K-20K ish.

It's not a bad game, just boring.

I think the same. I just don't really see what the difference is between something like this and any other shooter out there right now really. It just feels very generic.

I went with 20k as a conservative prediction.

I think it's floor is slightly higher than Hunt Showdown and it's ceiling is bigger than Tarkov / Helldivers 2.

I love the finals, play it with friends every now and then.
Got to test ARC, It's solid, but this extraction shooter thing is not for me.
I get the appeal really but the whole thing is not for me and with it being P2P, I don't think I can convince any of my boomer friends to buy this, could give it a go if it launched in Gamepass one day

Great start with a steady 15-20k playerbase after a few months, which is really great. Will live on and improve just like the finals.

Only 16 people voted in this poll but all 16 people called this game a future success.

If ARC Raiders comes out and does well can we finally put the "GAAS is a crapshoot" idea to bed? This kind of has the vibe that the entire industry knows it's going to do great.
