I went to Costco today as a guest and felt like I was living the American dream. All the items were huge inside, and then out at the cafe there's huge slices of pizzas, big hot dogs (put those ikea euro wieners to shame), and big drinks with free refills - and they are cheap. I'd be fat as if I shopped at this place all the time. Hmmm I don't really need 5kg of beef but what the hell...

Last time I went to Costco I bought a bag of popcorn that was about 5ft tall. It was nice popcorn as well, better than the stuff you get in Coles & Woolies.

Nope, Costco is what is categorized as a warehouse club and there are only a few of those, like Sams Club.

Not at all OP. Costco is a cut above.

Most Costco also have a liquor store, an auto shop for lube/tire/repair, and even gas stations to fill up for cheap with your membership.

And the weirdest part is that the hot dog is legit good. It's not the cheap crap you'd expect to get paying $1.50 for a dog and drink.

Not at all OP. Costco is a cut above.

Most Costco also have a liquor store, an auto shop for lube/tire/repair, and even gas stations to fill up for cheap with your membership.

Not to mention you can get your glasses, prescription meds, your house refinanced, a brand new car, all through Costco.

I shop there about every week. I use to go to Sam's Club growing up. I like it, but it also gives me an eerie American feeling. You can feel this sense of being an American family consumer when you shop there. Apparently they pay pretty well. I'm always unimpressed by their video game selection. I'm never there for electronics.

costco used to have an incomprehensible return policy where they would accept years old products, it wasn't till around the transition from the SD to HD television where they finally stopped that because people were returning years old tube televisions to upgrade to hd lcd tvs.

But seriously I wanna believe costco owns their own farms for those hot dogs specifically would make sense. Their brand Kirkland does sell a lot of shit.
