Yes. RE9 will have Denuvo not their DRM. In 5 years when their license expires and they put their own garbage, I can just use a previous exe version or pirated one. PC version regardless of drm is still the better version.

It was still buttery smooth for me and I had no problem on launch. Played to completion and all. If I stared at FPS numbers, maybe it fluctuated, but it was never under 60, so I was more than fine, personally.

RE8 ran perfectly smooth 99.99% of the time at launch in my experience.

I think I remember about that, if anything I was impacted by that, but literally everything else was more than fine to complete. I'm pretty sure I also remember it affecting certain PC specs more than others. Wasn't a big deal, but to each their own. Especially since I remember the game being buttery smooth more than not.

Denuvo itself is not the big problem for performance, other shitty DRMs Capcom used are to blame (for Village and RE4 performance problems).

I would love for them to drop any DRM, but Denuvo is the only one that actually prevents piracy for first few months. If I was PC publisher I would use it as well, of course with testing and optimizations done.

I played through re4 at realease and i dont remember any bad performance. But other than that re9 looks kinda boring to me so i will not be getting it at first. Maybe if the reviews are really good.
