Google Desktop Search isn't very good... it comes in handy when looking for an obscure word in a file, but I want a full drive search, sortable by dates modified, sizes, etc.
For example, just now, I got a LOW DISK SPACE ERROR on my Windows drive, and was shocked to see I have about 200 megs.
Now I'm assuming it's just temp files from two, one-hour MPEG2 files I'm encoding now, because I had like five gigs free yesterday, so I wanted to do a full file listing, to then sort by size.
Of course:
1) It takes Windows about ten minutes just to do that
2) I deleted one file from the listing, so then it has to refresh the ENTIRE listing, from scratch, basically freezing the results and almost crashing explorer with it
I don't understand why the hell Windows Search is such a joke, it's not as if NTFS isn't a decently robust file system.
