I bought a platinum GC during the last holiday season, and since then I've found that extra platinum controllers like the one it came packed with don't seem to exist! The only alternative seems to be the Wavebird wireless controller, which is, I'm sorry, just too expensive. It would cost me as much to buy four Wavebirds as I actually paid for the system.

Is there something I'm missing, or should I just buy some black ones on the cheap and sell my platinum one?

Yes, the Platinum controllers have been released. I saw them in my local Wal-Mart a day or two ago.
