i just got my ipod and configured it
when i set it up i set it to manual so my songs wouldnt get updated automatically
in itunes, i clicked the eject iPod button.
now i cant get my computer to recognize when i plug my iPod in.
anyone have any advice?
ill describe in more detail if needed

There's an eject iPod button? I just plug my iPod in via USB port, it automatically updates, tells me it's okay to disconnect, and I unplug it.

After clicking eject, did you try unplugging the iPod and plugging it back in?
Also, try restarting your PC.

yea tried those
it wierd thing is the ipod still charges when i plug it in but the computer doesnt recogznie it so i cant upload any songs

That happened to me initially. I think what happened was that it worked after shutting down the comp and turning it back on as opposed to restarting. It sounds weird but it worked for me.

edit: I also reset my iPod at one point.

that's happened to me a few times and both times i think i just reset my ipod. not like cleared everything on it, but whatever reset it does when you hold select and either menu or play for a while. i dunno why, but that seemed to work.

Click on your "willco's ipod" in itunes, then Display Ipod Options, the leftmost of the bottom right side icons, then check Enable DIsk Use.
