Eh.....bit of an extreme overgeneralization. I've said most console gamers are not going to suddenly become PC gamers for whatever reason (or vice versa). I don't know anyone who has said that would never ever happen. I certainly have not. And I don't see that happening in large scale at all. This is certainly not evidence of that.

I feel you OP. Ever since I built my recent rig I've also been playing more on PC rather than on PS5.

If I didn't had built it, I would probably binged a PS5 Pro by now, but at the moment I don't see any reason to do it.

If I'm being honest, I'm more lean to actually do an invest to improve my rig rather than get a mid-gen update.

I used to stick with consoles bc my PC would heat up whatever room I was in. Until I got all wireless stuff and have my gaming PC in another room entirely and just run an hdmi cable into my home theater . Now PC is my main chick and I love it more than ever with crispy balls.

PC gaming is very different nowadays
compared to 10-20 years ago. You can game on a TV with a controller. All the Japanese games are on Steam. Sony games are on Steam.

Did you know 1440p on pc is different? The 4090 is stupid cause it's not a proper 4k graphics card by any means. I'm not knocking the card, it's made realistically for the %1 of any medium we've already knew, YouTube streamers, Disney, Mercedes Benz, US Military but many years later. The 4090 isn't for everyone and hobbyists are losers cause they don't fit into any category of the %1 and you are not one of them.

Sony is slowly killing itself with corporate greed. Nintendo is able to survive but they are an entirely anomaly.

This is the first generation that I have gone PC only. Was pretty much PC + Sony from PS2 up to PS4 and loved the experience. Rarely did I ever feel like I was missing out on anything. However, this generation I feel like I am missing out on nothing and it is awesome. even more so I decided to fully dedicate any of that other gaming to the PC gaming cause and got myself that dream end game computer that has been an amazing experience. Granted I have been for a couple of GPU cycles running with some near top tier systems but avoided the **90 tier of things since I didnt want to justify the extra cost until now. Lots of really cool things to experience from the different gaming mice to the awesome variety of gaming keyboard experiences that are available.

Yea I am done with the console. The ecosystem on consoles is terrible now. I will look at generation upgrades like upgrading my graphics card or building a new system every 6-8 years. The console experience flat out sucks now outside of Nintendo who still keeps it simple.
