I didn't hate the movie .. but just certain parts of it like what I stated. I liked it but I wish some things were different.

We are in agreement on everything you just said! Diana Ross was the weakest link, IMO! They should have gone with the first choice: the girl from the stage musical. But no... That'd be too much like right. But I'm glad they used MJ as Scarecrow.

I still hold that advertising should have been deployed better.

Still... The movie and the NBC Live show were emotionally touching to me. I still cry at certain parts.

All it takes is one look at how Disney has handled the Star Wars license to know they're really not that smart. They do make mistakes, they have ruined beloved franchises and it has affected their bottom line.

We'll have to wait and see what this live action remake will end up being. I think those are all trash so I hope it fails, but it probably won't.

They haven't ruined jack shit commercially so far. While fans seem to hate on TLJ it still made them tons of money - and so will Episode 9. Just bump in Palpatine and the sheep jump into the theaters again. Just wait and see. The folks at Disney are laughing their ass off.

Don’t know who he is but he looks nothing like the original. But that seems to be the theme here. Worst of all McCarthy is in the movie so expect her usual acting.

Can you imagine the outrage is she starts the movie as the black Mermaid but when she comes ashore in her human form she's a white skinned red head girl.

I didn't say ALL. But I find Lashana Lynch attractive and pretty. And this girl, Halle Bailey, is pretty.

But judging by that picture of Harry Styles... He's not what I would call an attractive man (in the face). Taryn Edgerton would be a better choice, IMO. Or Cloak from Cloak and Dagger.
