That's not a guarantee. Just look at how Electronic Arts cancelled Amy Hennig and Visceral Games' Star Wars game, which by all accounts was shaping up to be a masterpiece; then the online, open-world looter-shooter in development at EA Vancourver which was meant to recycle the mechanics and assets from Visceral's game; a Star Wars: Battlefront spin-off from a coalition of studios, including Criterion, that was planned for the PS5 & Xbox Series launch; the singleplayer first-person shooter about a Mandalorian bounty hunter in development at Respawn Entertainment; and finally, the very systemic, open-world, branching-narrative Black Panther game that had been in the works at EA's own Cliffhanger Games, the studio founded by the creators of the Middle-Earth games and the Nemesis System.
These companies don't give a shit.
