I'm still not clear on something. If Oscar is in jail and they think it's George Sr, then why was George Sr under house arrest?

The writing of this episode is excellent. I like how George Sr fell, landed on the car, the car caught fire and burned the evidence. That's a 2 in 1 and completely unpredictable.

I'm not sure if all of it did, but Micheal said something to the extent of "the files were in the car when it caught fire"

Save a miracle, at this point getting viewership up aside from the rabid-core of fans watching each week isn't gonna happen. I don't think anybody realistically thinks it's coming back for a 4th season, so at the very least, I'd like Fox to let them run out the rest of the series with some dignity and wrap up whatever loose ends are there. If they could just finish it out for the rest of its full season, untouched, then I'd be thoroughly content.

Exactly. I just want them to finish off the season. I don't care if it's not coming back. Fox pleased me enough by bringing it back for a third season anyways.
 
Another great episode! I love everything involving Wee Britain, much funnier than a few special episodes in Great Britain (like in Friends).
By the way, wasn't

There's also the official petition... uhm, I don't know how much it influenced Fox in May when it was boosted to 100,000 in a few weeks' time before the third season was announced, but it's only at 110,000 now, so a little reminder might not hurt.

And don't forget:
1. Buy the DVDs
2. ...
3. Profit!

It's funny...I came across articles from the first season with people saying "there's little chance of it getting a 2nd season", then with the 2nd season there was the same kind of deal "little to no chance of it seeing a 3rd season", etc....

FOX had said they wanted to get it enough episodes for syndication, plus the S1 DVD has done really well for them, plus the fact that they nearly renewed it for 2 seasons shows that this may in fact be one of the few instances where a series this battered in the ratings actually gets to stick it out longer than most.

That actually seems like a really plausible explanation. If they were far enough into it or had it done already (I'm not sure how far ahead they tape AD episodes), hopefully they'll have it on the DVD when it comes out.
 
I really hope Fox hasn't given up on AD yet to move it to Fridays, I mean thats pretty obvious that they are giving up on it, and that doesn't give AD much of a chance to survive even if it cleans up at the Emmys next year. I can't believe they could not put this show after a decent lead in with intelligent enough viewers to get\enjoy the show.
 
There needs to be a network that just shovels up FOX's cancelled shows or something (the good ones, at least). Like FOX 2.

24 > Arrested Development > American Dad > Malcolm in the Middle > Family Guy (season 5) > everything else
 
American Dad has actually improved a hell of a lot. Easily funnier than episodes of Family Guy that they play on the same night.

Yeah, I know. I didn't expect it either. I was actually boycotting the show. =P

And yes, last night's episode was hysterical. LOSIN' IT!
 
Bunch of thoughts about this episode...

1) So funny. SO FUNNY. SOOOOO FUNNY.

2) It had an odd feel though, because a lot of the plots were a bit... nastier... than usual. There was the analrapist joke, the roofies, the whole Rita thing, Steve Holt's plan to sleep with Maebe...

3) This exchange killed me and hasn't been mentioned. I can't remember it exactly, but it went something like...

Tobias: Here, take my card.
Buster: AAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH!
Tobias: No, it's pronounced "ah-nahl-ra-pist".
Buster: The pronunciation isn't what scares me.

4) The "Next Week" was probably the funniest ever. I think it's only rivalled by the one where they "gave away" that the blind attorney wasn't actually blind.

5) Is it wrong to think Charlize Theron is smoking hot when she's playing a character with the mental age of a child? It shouldn't be, but it feels so very wrong.
 
some more ratings news, according to another forum AD came in first in the 18-34 demo with a share of 9, I can't find a link to back this up yet though

No, they want it to fail so they can replace it with half a season of the reality show Married To A Midget.
 
ideally you want 18-49. 35-49 spends LOTS of money. but coming in 18-34 is considered hip and you can directly target a more specific market and put stuff in there that might turn off the 35-49 crowd.

edit - talking about ads that is.
