ARROW Season 2 |OT| Back in a Flash

Exactly. I wanted Slade to continue being awesome until the end of time. But now, Slade must die. And in a very horrific manner.

I can't believe this is the second season of the show. The shit that Slade is pulling off as the Big Bad makes this feel like a series finale season.

I don't know how any villain can top Deathstroke at this point. They've got their work cut out for them in season 3.

Prediction about Sara, just gonna spoiler because.

She is going to return to the league, but with the condition they help Oliver with the Slade problem.

It's true what everyone's saying about topping Slade as a villain. Had not crossed my mind until now. It's gonna be extremely difficult to surpass...

DUDE.
League of Assassins vs. Team Deathstroke? My body is ready.

I absolutely love that they are pacing this show like it is going to get cancelled tomorrow. Nothing held back. Just balls to the wall awesome.

This season has been spectacular so far. Unless they seriously shit the bed in these next three episodes (and I don't think they will), this will be the greatest live action comic book adaptation ever.

So there's a rumour going around that in the finale... (Probably major spoilers if true)
Slade kidnaps both Thea and Moira, Slade then makes Oliver choose who lives and who dies, at this point Moira says Slade should just kill her and well you can guess what happens after that.

Does it sound plausible? You guys feel it's bs?

I called it.
Still trying to process everything, god damn it that ending.

Not true. Realistically, Slade should curbstomp Batman.

This version, probably. Comic Deathstroke is more akin to normal Captain America (not the Ultimate Comics version powers that the movies use). Peak human potential with enhanced healing and cognition gained from experiments versus someone who trained to that level naturally.

You know, thinking on it, Arrow has convinced me that I wouldn't mind if WB/DC said "Forget the movies" and focused almost entirely on television. Week in and week out, this season has been just as good and in some respects even better than most of the big budget superhero flicks we've gotten over the last decade. I could deal with not having a big DC movie slate if it meant having shows this good starring characters like Wonder Woman or Booster Gold.

This would never happen, of course, because of all the money the movies bring in. Not to mention the fans would probably riot because "only the movies matter!" But for me, a DC focused on television would be dope.

The CW has both captured and broken my heart. T_T

The "I know" scene was so well done that, combined with the flashbacks showing Moira putting her children first, we knew it was coming. Damn it.

What could Malcom do to Slade that Ollie couldn't? He'd get his ass rolled over too. Oliver went too soft and paid for it. But damn i didn't think they'd go all brutal like that hah, i thought he'd turn to leave but nope!

Merlyn is more experienced than Oliver and Slade doesn't know about him (or at least that he's alive). He's the one person Slade wouldn't have factored into his plans: the wild card. And Slade taught Oliver to fight - as he pointed out - but he doesn't know Merlyn's skills.

At the 11 second mark, that looks like
Isabelle Rochev. It was kinda expected she'd be back after we saw her bleeding from her eyes because of the mirakuru, but this seems to confirm it.

Yes it is, she's Ravager, there were leaked photos a while back: https://twitter.com/PUNKD_Images/status/451738398097543171/photo/1.

His mother is dead, his sister hates him, he blames himself, Sarah is gone, his knee hurts, Roy is in a coma.

Died at that.

Looks like season three will be a big shakeup, seems that
Felicity, Diggle, Thea and Roy
will be making it there alive, which shouldn't shock anyone.

Possibly. My opinion is that Oliver takes the serum to make himself as strong as Slade. No way he can fight with a busted knee. Then he takes the conveniently produced cure afterwards.

A bit of Asian and/or African American in there?

How old was Connor Hawke when he was introduced in the comics? He should be what, 7-10 years old at this point? Honestly, they've got Roy, they could hold out on Connor for years.

The ending of the episode was perfect. Moira died in the best possible way which is giving her life for her children. It was a very brave moment and honored her best quality. I also liked how she knew Oliver's secret and kept it to herself all this time.

I can safely say it's my favorite comic book adaptation.

I loved a lot of the movies out there, But we've been getting 20+ 40 minute movies all season. Every single episode moves the plot forward in such a huge way. This season we've got more storyline than Marvel is likely to have in their movies over the next 20 years and DC over the next 50.

Hell in single episodes two plot threads end while three more begin. Some work on framing to match a comic book flow and you've literally got the best comic book adaptation possible.

Green Arrow is not very high on my DC favorites list, but this show makes him easily one of the top tier. I'm hoping Flash can maintain the awesome.

And good God this episode!

They would really have to fuck up the last three episodes to ruin this season.

It was a beautiful end to a wonderful complex character. R.I.P the one female character they never screwed over.

- After these past couple episodes I'm more than a little tempted to write a "Willa Holland's conversations with the Arrow Writers" a la my Laurel piece.

- "She reminds me so much of me after I came home." No shit. Her character is a superfluous female clone of yours.

- Those flashbacks were straight up Soap Opera. I cannot imagine how a Ollie lovechild in this show could end up being a positive and I'm wondering if they're gonna go the Angel route and have the kid involved with some time travel shenanigans related to The Flash and have him show up as a mysterious teenager/adult.

- Always figured Moira would die this season, but it was a done deal after "I know." Sucks. She was easily the best female character/actor and a boss 'til the end. This further convinces me of the following with the worst actor of the show.
- Sara will survive this season. She may leave to go join The League and come back as a conflicted villain down the line, but she's definitely going to survive. Slade doing "the choice" between Sara/Laurel would have made perfect sense for the story and his character, so them using it on Moira/Thea means she ain't gonna die.

- "CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE"

I know, right!? Before this show, GA was just that guy I kinda liked from the Justice League cartoons. Now I'm actively seeking out comics featuring the guy.

If Flash manages to be this good...man. Like I said, I would be totally okay with WB/DC putting more focus on television.

Forget that thing I said a while back about Agents of SHIELD...
Yeah. Even as I admit that AoS has gotten better, Arrow is just on another level. It really does stand toe to toe with any of the superhero movies. The characters are developed well (yes, that includes Laurel, who I think they've started to turn around in the latter half of this season), the pacing is amazing, the plot is engaging, and the show has mostly left its "Batman with a bow" beginnings to become its own thing. It really is a great program.

I knew she was going to die the minute it was revealed she knew Ollie was the Arrow, but damn they let her die a hero.

Real tears here.

What I loved most about Moira's character is how everything she did was for her family. Every nefarious action, deal, and secret was, in her mind was justified to protect Oliver and Thea. This aspect of her character is consistent with her comic counter part, though she died much earlier in comics, it is somewhat poetic that she dies the same way.
