"Stranglehold's" arrival in stores is slated to coincide with PlayStation3's debut. Midway will also make a version for the Xbox 360.

The game, set in Hong Kong and Chicago, will be chock-full of the "akimbo style gunplay," as Eddy put it, featured in Woo movies like 1992's "Hard-Boiled."

Woo has a hand in creating the game's story line. And "Hard-Boiled" star Chow Yun-Fat will make his video-game debut in "Stranglehold," lending his voice to the character he played in the movie, Inspector Tequila.

I guess this makes it the second confirmed PS3 launch game? (The other was an unspecified Bandai game, I think?)

Also seems to dig a little into Midway's history etc. and takes a positive spin on how this game represents a "new" Midway..or hopes to.
