Just got a system feature update that allows you to change to some 30th Anniversary themes. Shame it says you can only use them temporarily because they are nice and seems it would also open the door for PS5 system themes.

At first I was curious why my PS5 notified of some new features and asked for a restart. Later heared of very familiar opening sound and my tears were falling from my eyes. Really love it. Nice work, Sony. ^^

I totally get the limited time hardware stuff. The theme being limited time just seems a little weird to me. Maybe it’s a tactic to get people to turn on their consoles that might not have in that period of time, see some ads or go to the store.

As soon as they remove the PS1 boot up screen, we riot. The update lets me get a chance to look at some of the other background themes I didn't know were added. I'm surprised but not really surprised that Astro Bot is still the only game background.

In terms of the 30th Anniversary themes. The 30th background visually is ok but i've never liked the PS5 sound so I will not use it. I like the PS1 theme for the most part but can't see myself using it much though I would have like to keep the sound. PS2 I don't really like the DOF/blurriness look. PS3 I wish it was animated but I can understand why they didn't. Same with the PS4 theme.

Folders are not as useful as the game groups you can create now. Only wish would be to be able to pin a group to the home screen bar maybe.

Folders are super useful for huge list of games in your homescreen, not to mention you can organize games by catalogue.

No....it will just remind me how stupid it was to create this theme only to take it away as part of some marketing scheme. I don't see the point in an every 10 year "limited time" console feature.
