Assassin’s creed origins 60 fps update is imminent. (New hint from their twitter)

Been waiting anxiously for this.

All these 5+ year old games getting updates making everyone excited. Can we ever just make new games
I bought this like over 2 years ago. Complete edition bargain bin sale and still haven't played it. Now I'll get 60fps Lol. Pretty delighted.

I mean, that could work. what's the percentage of all games any one gamer has played in their lifes? must be below 10% of all games. so just releasing updates of old titles that bring them up to date would be enough for some to never need actually new games ever again.

I'll gladly run thru a new playthrough on my SX once this update drops.

I very rarely platinum games but I did with Origins on PS4. Even scored all trophies and completed both DLCs which I recommend.

Like I say to alot of PC gamers. A turd is still a turd whether its 4k 60fps or 1080p 30fps…..
Of course it makes a little difference but Asscreed will never be RDR, Gears or Ghost of Tsushima

Sure they might not be liked for their gameplay but their recreation of worlds of the past is unique.
I cant think of another game where you can walk around an authentic ancient Egypt.

I for one enjoyed a turd like Ghost of Tsushima at 60FPS more than I did in 30FPS. So thanks for the patch, devs.

Because if Origins is a turd then surely Ghost of Tsushima must be one as well. I mean, they have virtually identical review scores.

It sucks to be at the mercy of the devs on console.
On pc you can remaster all games yourself easy.

One of the main reasons why I switched to PC mid PS4/One generation. I purchased both Pro and X but got tired of waiting for patches (many of witch never came to be). Never looked back.

Origins is the superior "new generation" AC experience. Not as extremely padded with filler like Odyssey or Valhalla, loot and gameplay is so much better, the missions are cooler, day and night cycle which has an actual effect on NPCs [guards sleep at night, stuff like that]. Story is more focussed.

I had a WAY better time with Origins than with Odyssey and especially Valhalla.

Yes, it's an amazing game. Great story and main protagonist. The world building is world class, especially for an open world game. Visuals are stunning. There are some really good reshades available, like Purity of Egypt for example:

If you want to diss Assassin's Creed, trying to push Tsushima as an example is about the last game in existence you want to use, lol. An ACreed copycat turd with gamedesign from 12 years ago, from the AC2 days. Tsushima is the one that want to be AC, seeing how, like every sony open world, apes Ubisoft to the letter

I did the same. Horizon was the last game I remember playin on console.
After a while of playing a bunch of assassins creeds it just hit me. I never played these games at 60 on console.
Something so simple you take for granted but if I were to start up my ps4 right now for AC Unity it would run below 30 while I can get 90 on pc.

It really changes things. Like I thought Evil Within at release on console was pure trash and gave up after a couple chapters.
But now on pc it's a great experience. 90 fps, higher fov and no black bars. Truly one of my favorites and might like it more than any RE game.

I know what you mean. Clarify and fluidity matters big time in gaming. I'm playing Watch_Dogs (first one) on PC with a mod that restores E3 visual effects. 4K, everything on ultra, way above 60FPS. It's a great experience. I can't believe that a game designed around PS3 and 360 can hold up so well in 2022. I can't imagine playing it on PS3 or even PS4. It was a shit show and forever will be because of course Ubisoft won't patch it.

Facts.
You got me checking out nexus mods, which ones do you have installed to make it look better?
I looked around and saw this first person mod. That seems interesting.

FPP is good for exploring the city, not so much for a normal gameplay. I'm using "Natural & Realistic Lighting Mod". It was delisted from Nexus as it got copyright strike by Ubisoft (bastards) but if you Google it, you'll find Google Drives where people are still hosting it. There are few versions, I recommend the main one or atmospheric. Atmospheric version makes so it always rains or is about to rain. It's glorious:

Thanks. I looked around and got it. Not sure if its the right one. It was around 1GB. It also came with "Living City". Will check it out this week.

Making Watchdogs cross-gen was a catastrophic error in judgment on Ubisoft's part that trainwrecked the game and forever tarnished an actually quite amazing and innovative new IP, from which is never fully recovered.

And ultimately it was for nothing as a mere fraction of the sales were on PS360-era consoles.

Man, Ubisoft. How do you have so many amazing IP's and end up trainwrecking every single one of them.. How is that even possible? Watchdogs, Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, The Division, legacy titles like Prince of Persia, Settlers, the list is endless.

Find the one without Living City. Living City adds too much crap IMO. Random events all the time, icons all over the place. It's gets too busy. I think the base game has enough of it. :messenger_winking:

Nah Ghost was better in most ways. Combat way better, story better, characters better. Graphics better
Ghost at 30fps is better than Assassins creed at 60fps

Hopefully this true; I may just go and replay it if so. I know a bunch of other AssCreed games got 60 fps patches on SX, but that was the system level one not directly from Ubisoft. So hopefully this patch keeps a decent resolution as well.

Yeah no, Ghost of Tsushima actually has good combat and gameplay, so it makes a huge difference. Way better combat, story was better too.
Being open world game doesnt mean it wants to be AC lol.

It's as much of a turd as Origins is. Every game is better at 60FPS vs. the same game at 30FPS. I enjoyed Ghosts very much, I just enjoyed Origins a little more. It's down to preference. I prefer ancient Egypt from Japan. But to call Origins a turd is just stupid. And reviews support that.

Of course if the game is at 60fps is better than the game at 30fps.

But Ghost at 30FPS is still a better game than assassins creed at 60fps in my opinion. The combat was crap, and the game was just not good.
Apart from the setting and attention to detail
